The American Legion Archie Hay Post 24 gave a special gift package to the first baby born on Veterans Day at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.
There are handcrafted blankets, baby monitors, outfits, stuffed animals, bath items, towels, books, and many more inside the gift package given to the first baby born on Veteran's Day. The care package's lucky receiver is a sweet baby boy named Kyston, and his mother, Shyla. Kyston, the first baby born on Veteran's Day, was welcomed into the world at 9:25 in the morning.
A special surprise
Gina Dusel, the President of the Auxiliary Department of Wyoming, said that they enjoy celebrating with the community, which is one way of doing it. She added that this is the fourth year that they have given a gift basket to the first baby born on Veteran's Day and that this is one of the things that they are looking forward to doing every year.

This year, because of the COVID-19 policy and safety measures, and the hospital carried out its system to keep patients and staff safe, Dusel merely gave the package to the Labor and Delivery Unit and presented their donation to Megan Jacobson, who is the unit's Director.
Dusel even gave a picture of the American Legion Archie Hay Post family that donated and helped prepare the special gift package delivered to the first baby born on Veteran's Day.
The Veterans Day
Veterans Day is a time where people pay their respects to those who have served. For a day, they stand united in respect for the veterans. It is also a day to reflect upon the heroism of those who died in their country's service.
Aside from giving special gift packages to babies born on this day, there are also other ways that people welcome this day. Since this is a federal holiday, federal workers are given the day off, and in most states, state workers are given their off as well. And for many schools, they do close on this day.
The local school board sets public school holidays. On the other hand, private school holidays are set by private officials. And for the state and private school college, their holidays are set much the same Way.
Despite having many ways of celebrating this day for the veterans, those who sacrificed themselves to serve and protect the country, the only thing necessary is that people do not forget.
They always look back, not to merely relieve the pain and recall the country's dreadful state and the people before, but to keep in mind that the things they enjoy right now. These include their privileges, their freedom, and their joy, which are the fruits of the sacrifices of those people who were brave and bold enough to answer the call when their country needed them.
