A doctor mom teaches her four-year-old child about c-section births using Play-Doh. She wanted her son to explore how his birth looked like, so they did a simulation of how it occurred when he was born.
To mimic how a real pregnant woman's body would look like at birth via cesarian section, Jessica So made use of clay. She wanted to let celebrate her son's four years of existence by reminiscing about how he came about into the world.
Taught her son about c-section birth
The San Francisco doctor wrote on Instagram and YouTube why she taught her child about c-section birth. She explained that they wanted to remember the "eventful, unexpected day" her son arrived.
The board-certified dermatologist also wanted to take note of the amazing people who helped her son come out safely. Using Play-Doh, she recreated a pregnant belly with precise detail to demo how everything happened to her son.
Son was interested in the lecture
The duo explored c-section birth where So operated on the fake belly. She operated on it and then had a Spider-Man doll delivered. Then she followed with the placenta afterward. So's son was interested in what they are doing.
He asked his mom if he could separate the rectus muscle. Apart from that, he noticed that the dummy's uterus was getting wet. No one knows, but So's son could be getting ready into becoming a surgeon one day because he is engaged and learning in that manner.

The mom-of-two's followers could not help but applaud what she did to get her son to interact with her Play-Doh mimicking. One complimented her, saying that what she is doing is awesome. Another one wrote, saying how he loved the child's comments.
The commenter also noted that the baby is so cute and that the commenter loved how accurate the anatomy and surgical steps are. One mom shared how she loves the videos and explained that her three-year-old daughter is curious about anything about human anatomy or medical-related stuff.
Apart from getting the attention of moms, a woman also noticed how helpful So's videos are. She explained that while she is not pregnant, she tends to overthink things. She was afraid of giving birth through a c-section, but now she is officially scared anymore.

Besides this, giving birth via c-section reenactment, So also did other videos using Play-Doh. She makes use of the tool to show people about the surgeries she had performed and shares them on YouTube.
