Cornwell needed 5,000 US dollars for her rent as she will be evicted from her home in January. Cornwell is a mom of three kids and in her GoFundMe campaign, she mentioned that she does not know how her kids will be spending Christmas.

Cornwell shared, "This has been a horrible year for us...I just need to get on my feet. I feel like I'm drowning." The mom of three was supposed to start working last May. However, before she was even able to begin working, she tested positive for the coronavirus. even her family contracted the virus along with her.

On the other hand, Selewski has a daughter who has a collapsed lung. That made her daughter vulnerable to COVID-19. Selewski lost her job earlier this year because of the pandemic.

She shared in her GoFundMe campaign. "I have never thought to make a GoFundMe but with Christmas approaching, I just didn't know what else to do."
