A nine-year-old boy gives up his Christmas wish list so that he could make another kid happy. He wrote to Santa asking to help him give an item to another kid in need. He willingly gave up the hoverboard to help a grieving kid who also asked for the same gift.
Matched with another family
On Christmas, Jason and Sandi Boyer wanted to help another family. Anonymously, the family matched with a young boy who was taken care of by his grandmother. The little boy had just lost his grandfather, who had cancer.
He also asked for a hoverboard just like Boyer's nine-year-old son, Hudson, who found out about the young boy's wish, so he wrote to Santa to give what he asked for to the little boy instead.
Family gives hoverboard to both kids
The Boyers decided to buy two hoverboards so that both children could have them. Forty-one-year-old Jason and his wife try to help someone out every year. He said that they think about someone or an organization that they could help.
Usually, they focus on helping children, and this year, the duo chose to help Barry L. Joyce Cancer Fund in Madison. The Asheville, North Carolina meteorologist said that the institute contacted them after it found a child without parents.
A child under stress
The couple learned that the child's grandparents took care of him. Recently, the little boy's grandfather had died due to cancer. The Boyers heard that his grandmother and siblings are now taking care of the young boy, so they knew he would be stressed.
The couple understands that this could be hard for the family, especially with the medical bills. Jason told Good News Network that they explained the story to Hudson. Then, they asked him if he would be willing to give up an item on his wish list.
Without second thoughts, the young boy agreed, which surprised his parents. They believed that at that age, a child would usually not think like that.
Sandi, a non-profit executive, said they wanted to help another boy the same age as their son. She also said that the little boy they found also wanted the same gift as their son.

Mom cries after reading her son's letter
Hudson's mom thought that their son had forgotten about it after they had told him to give up his wish. Little did they know that their son wrote a letter to Santa to give his gift to someone else.
Sandi shared that she cried when she had read the letter Hudson wrote to Santa.
