3 Fun Ideas to get more Family Time

We're living in a strange time. Because of the pandemic, so much is not allowed and so many businesses are closed. Chances are you haven't been able to do some of your favorite things with your family. Maybe you enjoy going out to eat all together or you like going to the amusement park. Nevertheless, we have to adapt! In this article, we'll talk about three fun things to do to enjoy some lovely family time together.

Start a monthly, no-phones-allowed game night

When was the last time you and your family held a game night? Was it years ago, or on holiday? A good old game night can be loads of fun. Dust off your favorite games and get everyone together for an evening of bluffing and gloating. Let everyone put their phones away together - the first one that looks, loses and has to do something for the winners. But hey, if you're having fun and beating your family in UNO, you won't be interested in checking out your phone - we promise you that!

Turn your garden into a zen oasis

If you notice that everyone in your family is walking on eggshells (not surprising after the year we've had!), you might need to get out the big guns. You can for instance turn your garden into a zen oasis, where everyone totally relaxes. What relaxes you, is of course different for each person, but we recommend adding some soft couches for a lovely reading/relaxing nook and even adding a Jacuzzi, for example under a pergola so you can even enjoy your jacuzzi when the weather is a bit moody. You can enjoy soaking alone, but you can also choose a bigger hot tub, for instance a Jacuzzi for 6 people (Dutch: Jacuzzi 6 personen) so the whole family can enjoy chilling out and talk about their days.

Go on a 'trip'

Did you know that during a pandemic, you can visit tons of places... without actually going there? Many museums worldwide are currently offering free online museum tours. Did you always want to visit the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam? Or the MoMa in New York? Look at Google Arts & Culture, there's so much you can see! If you want to make this extra fun, you can even get food delivered, from a restaurant in your area specialised in that cuisine. If you're for instance visiting Florence, you can order pizza and antipasti and make it a fun 'trip' away from home!

Enjoy!
