A DoorDash driver's minivan was stolen after making a delivery to a San Francisco apartment with his two kids inside.
Jeffrey Fang immediately returned to his minivan late Saturday when unexpectedly, he found a stranger in his driver's seat while he had left the car running. Fang said the stranger shouted at him.
A struggle ensued at about 8:45 p.m. for several minutes, Fang told local news outlets.
He opened the minivan's door and attempted to yank the man out; he told KPIX 5, a CBS news channel. The suspect tried to put the car in reverse, but fiercely Fang said, 'I didn't give in.'
Ultimately, the individual fled the minivan, but not before he grabbed Fang's phone. Fang said, in the process of running after the person to get his phone, he found that his van had been stolen.

Minivan Got Stolen with His Kids Inside
Before his minivan and his two kids, a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old, were found healthy several miles away, more than four hours would have elapsed from Saturday night to early Sunday.
California authorities released an Amber Warning within those hours. The police in San Francisco posted online alerts and released details of the incident through radio channels. Fang's friends and outsiders, members of the San Francisco community, organized online and on foot to locate the girls.
A reporter with KQED, Fitzgerald Rodriguez, shared information about the make and model of the minivan. He posted the number of the license plate and a stock picture of the minivans feature. He posted photos of the babies and retweeted local interviews with Fang as his father pleaded for his kids' safe return.
"Times are hard. If you're going to have to resort to stealing, that's a different matter, but please don't hurt my kids," Fang said in his ABC7 News interview.
"If you are the guy who stole my car: Look, just drop my kids off, safely, please," he added on KPIX 5.

Those posts circulated widely as Fitzgerald Rodriguez exchanged updates with his followers.
Speaking in his capacity as Fang's mate, Fitzgerald Rodriguez said more than 2 million people had seen his initial post.
According to the police, at about 1 a.m., two police officers found the van and the children in the Bayview area of San Francisco, many miles from where the kids are taken to Pacific Heights.
The police said no suspects were identified, and the special victims unit of the police department is investigating.
In Sunday's interview with The Post, Fang said his children later told him that they were sleeping during the ordeal, waking up to see the police arrive to find the van.
