Capcom stressed that the minimum specs are what is required to run "Street Fighter V" on PCs, while the recommended specs (in bold) are necessary to attain the optimal "Street Fighter V" experience. According to Capcom, the title will also support Steamworks.
Unfortunately, there is no support for Linux, thus, the game won't be compatible with SteamOS, the Linux-based OS that will be running with the Steam Machine this fall. However, the title will not be released until 2016, so Capcom has still enough time to make the game compatible with Linux, according to CinemaBlend.
The minimum CPU requirement isn't too high considering its processing power. Most quad-cores developed in the last five years are equipped with 3.3ghz or 3.6ghz processors, so those with older PCs, anything after 2010 can still play the game.
However, the game is requiring a RAM of 6GB, and most PCs are packed with 4GB making them ineligible for the game. However, some believes that the requirement was too high, the "Call of Duty: Ghosts" which requires a 6GB RAM could just run fine at 4GB. The report suggests that Capcom is recommending 8GB of RAM because it was what is equivalent with the current PS4 and Xbox One.
On the other hand, "Street Fighter V" will not feature an on-disc DLC when it launches as confirmed by Capcom. Producer Matt Dahlgren was asked about this concern during the Tokyo Game Show and his answer was straight forward, "There will not be on-disc DLC, for sure," GameRevolution reports.
Capcom earlier claimed that there is no difference between on-disc DLC and downloadable add-ons except for its delivery method, GameSpot has learned. Epic Game design director Cliff Bleszinski referred on-disc DLC as an "unfortunate reality" of doing business.
"Street Fighter V" is still in development for PS4 and PC. The title is slated to launch on March 31, 2016.
