'Iron Man 4' Release Date & Cast: Plot Details, Brand Campaign In Rejected Logos? Robert Downey Jr. Resembles His Marvel Character Tony Stark

Who is not excited with the next franchise of the genius superhero "Iron Man?" Since it was announced that "Iron Man 4" might see the light of day in the big screens, the hype about the film continues to grow, suggesting that fans are eager to see the self-proclaimed genius, billionaire and playboy Tony Stark.

While "Iron Man 4" is on the works, one of the necessary factors for its marketing campaign is its visual branding. In fact, this thing applies to most projects but more critical to visual products like films because it gives the audience a glimpse of what to expect in the movie, Fast Company reports.

Film Sketchr had the opportunity to speak with Fede Ponce, a professional artist who is behind the leading campaigns for Hollywood blockbusters and most Marvel cinematics including "Iron Man" and "Thor: The Dark World." It was not an easy task for Ponce and his team. In fact, the creative director shared several rejected logo designs for "Iron Man."

When asked what prompted Marvel to choose the current "Iron Man" logo against the other options, Ponce said, "We go through a lot of iterations and concepts when designing. For this particular case, I had read the script and was able to grasp what the director wanted to talk about in this movie. The movie in essence is about redemption, about being broken and being re-born. So the main title had all those elements in it."

At least for now, one gets to understand how logo design reveals a lot about branding the film.

On the other hand, according to Venture Capital Post, Robert Downey Jr. has been subject to comparison to his popular superhero character, the genius and billionaire Tony Stark aka Iron Man.

Downey Jr. has been the highest paid actor for three consecutive years after receiving $80 million from Marvel for filming "Avengers: Age of Ultron," Mail Online reports.

Moreover, if one finds Stark very interesting, funny or confident, the actor is just the man. As Movie Pilot puts it, "between the infectious charisma and brooding confidence, Jr. is the philanthropist that he portrays."

According to Venture Capital Post, the multi-millionaire actor support charity organizations like Robin Hood and Stand Up To Cancer, to name a few. He has also gone through a "rebirth" making an impressive career comeback after his infamous struggle with substance abuse.

Stark knows that he is a genius and Downey Jr. definitely knows his worth. In an earlier report from Parent Herald, "Iron Man 4" was delayed due to the actor's pay hike demands.
