Jessica Simpson Alcohol Problem: Celeb Mom In Denial; Husband Leaving, Taking The Kids [Rumors]

Singer and now fashion designer Jessica Simpson is allegedly in denial about her addiction to pills and alcohol. The situation is causing problems not only to her health but also to her marriage. Her husband is threatening he'll leave with the kids if the star won't check herself into a rehab facility.

According to Radar Online, NFL star Eric Johnson, Jessica's husband, already gave her an ultimatum.

"He is worried sick that Jess' conduct is going to start affecting their two children and that their oldest is starting to realize there's something wrong with Mommy," a source told the tabloid. "Things reached a climax in early May, when Eric told Jess he has had enough and issued his ultimatum."

Only last week, Jessica's conduct was not amiss among the viewers of her segment on the Home Shopping Network (HSN), where she presented her fashion collection. According to TMZ, for two hours, Jessica appeared to be "giggling and slurring" as she tried to sell her items.

However, HSN president Bill Brand was quick to deny that Jessica was drunk on live television. "She was here. She was thrilled to be here," Brand said, according to Entertainment Tonight. "I can tell you our team loved working with her." Brand also called the celebrity a "top-notch" professional.

HSN released an official statement defending Jessica, according to People Magazine. It read: "It was fun to have Jessica make her HSN debut with her mother Tina last night. We were happy to host them and thrilled with the way customers responded to the collection."

Meanwhile, Jessica has been receiving a lot of praises for her thin frame, but according to another Radar Online report, the starlet's addiction to Adderall, a prescription medication for ADHD, is what's keeping her slim. The news outlet said that the singer takes the pill with scotch, thus, her family is really worried for her health.

Aside from Eric, Jessica's mother, is also urging her to get help and even suggested that they check into the rehab facility together. "Tina sees it as a win-win for mother and daughter," a source told Life & Style. "Going to rehab with Jessica means she can kill two birds with one stone," the source added.

"She can't be in denial any longer about the toll that her problems have taken on her marriage, or she could lose her husband, her children and her money," according to the Radar Online's source.
