There is a growing hype about the anticipated film that will finally bring back fans to the galaxy far, far away. The return of Star Wars in "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" is expected to earn millions at the box office and with other merchandise associated to the film like toys.
For sure, many can't wait to get the full details about the film. However, the production is trying to keep things under wraps, but still a few details leak.
According to ScreenRant, "The Simpsons" actor Max von Sydow will be involved in the "Force Awakens." Unfortunately, his character remains confidential. In fact, he never appeared in any trailer footage. There have been several rumors about Sydow's possible character and a new speculation is about to be added in the pile.
Making Star Wars reports that Sydow will be playing a character codenamed "The Vicar." The report suggests that the said codename worked for the minor role the actor will be playing in "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens." This detail did not satisfy the eager fans as there was still a nagging pull to learn more about Sydow's character.
There are speculations that Sydow will be playing a character named Lor San Tekka, the man who possesses a very important information which is vital to the quest of finding the ever elusive Luke Skywalker. Lor San Tekka is an elder in a village on Jakku, who is sought out by the heroic pilot Poe Dameron who wants to learn the missing Jedi's whereabouts.
ScreenRant felt that the new report is somehow connected with the rumors that surfaced months ago, suggesting that Tekka (also known as "The Vicar") contacted the Renaissance after a Jakku villager named Nakka saw a lightsaber that had fallen from the sky.
In a 2015 Star Wars Celebration, actor Oscar Isaac revealed that his character Dameron is sent on a mission by a certain princess at the beginning of the film. With the information Isaac revealed, it seems that Dameron will be sent to Jakku to retrieve the lightsaber and learn valuable information on the whereabouts of Leia's (Carrie Fisher) long-lost brother.
For some time now, since the film was being talked about Jedi Master (Luke) Skywalker has been rumored to be AWOL. There are speculations that his absence is out of fear for controlling his own power or because he was out on a mission to protect an ancient Sith tomb from being opened. Whatever the reason is, all signs are pointing towards Skywalker's separation from other characters.
There is a chance that Tekka has strong ties to the heroes but as of now, the relationship is not clear.
Let us discover the details soon. "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" will hit the big screens on Dec. 18, 2015.
