Ludacris, the rapper and one of the "Fast and Furious" franchise stars, has revealed his daughters, Cai, seven years old, and Cadence, six years old, have their own debit cards. The dad explained that he wants to set the standard for his kids so that they will understand the value of money early on.

In an interview with Today, Ludacris said that he is teaching his younger children about money management and hopes that this will carry on when they are adults. Cai and Cadance "earn" money by doing chores around the house, such as washing dishes or cleaning their rooms.

The father said that his younger children need to know how debit cards work because they will eventually be using these. He also realized during the pandemic that schools don't have financial literacy in their everyday curriculum.

Ludacris has two older daughters, Karma, 20, currently attending college and pursuing filmmaking at Spelman College, and Shaila, 24, from previous relationships. He recently became a dad to a fifth daughter, Chance, whom he welcomed with his wife, Eudoxie Bridges, on July 28, 2021.

In a post on Instagram, Bridges said that Chance arrived two weeks early, and her husband thanked her for the "greatest gift."

Enjoys Being a 'Girl Dad'

Ludacris told Page Six that he's loving "every minute" of being a "girl dad" but admits it's difficult to be a strict parent. The rapper superstar said that he's quite a pushover when it comes to his daughters as he's easily swept away by their smiles or look.

He also said that he's relishing the thought of having his girls take care of him when he's older. As an only child, he never expected the amount of love he gets from his girls.

His daughters inspired him to come up with "Karma's World," the animated series that will debut on Netflix in the fall. The series was also an off-shoot of the website of the same name, which was closed a few years ago.

"Karma's World" centers on a 10-year-old girl who dreams of entering the music industry. The proud dad said that he wants the series to "brighten the lives" and build the confidence of the younger generation.

The show goes in line with "KidNation," an entertainment website that also teaches children how to spread positive vibes, learn teamwork, and have fun with whatever they aim for. The website has heaps of music videos and educational modules for the kids.

Important Advice to His Daughters

The rapper also recently launched a peanut butter commercial with Jif's brand and fellow rapper Gunna, highlighting parenting. Ludacris believes that it's best to balance old school and new school parenting theories in raising children.

However, the dad of five shared that the number one parenting knowledge he has always imparted to his daughters is to set goals for themselves to navigate their world better.

"Have a very strong sense of exactly what it is you're trying to accomplish," Ludacris said. "When you set timelines for yourself, you set precedents."
