Barron Trump, the youngest child of former President Donald Trump, will be part of the Class of 2024 at a private academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, which will begin its in-person classes on August 23.

Oxbridge Academy Director of Advancement Scott Siegfried confirmed that Barron has enrolled in their school, while a spokesperson from the Trump family has affirmed his statements. According to reports, this will be the first time the school will have members of the Secret Service on their premises, but Siegfried said that the Trumps want Barron's protection officers to "have little impact" on their day-to-day activities.

The ex-president, his wife, Melania, and Barron relocated to Palm Beach in early 2021 instead of coming home to New York when they moved out of the White House. They have been staying at the Mar-a-Lago club and golf course, which the former U.S leader owns.

A Low-Key Life

While his father was president, Barron was enrolled at St. Andrew's in Potomac. Melania said they chose the school for their son because of its diverse community and academic track record. The mother also said that her son is active in sports at school. Barron previously studied at a private school in New York, where he grew up, and lived in his own penthouse at the Trump Towers.

However, since leaving politics behind, Barron and his mother have been seen going back and forth to the east coast and the south. In July, mother and son were photographed in the streets of New York, where they spent their summer.

Melania, who was thrust into the limelight because of her husband, has been living quite a low-key life since her husband lost the elections. A source told People Magazine that Melania and Barron occasionally travel with the former president, but they keep their own schedules during the trips.

The Oxbridge Education

Oxbridge Academy was founded in 2011 as a prep school for kids in the 7th grade until high school. The campus has a small student population of about 500, where a third of the students are people of color.

Typical classes at Barron's new school will require him to take foreign language classes like Chinese or French and a course on American Sign Language. The school also encourages a range of activities that develops a student's athletic ability or academics.

Fees at this elite school are at $34,800 to $37,000 a year, but at least 40 percent attend classes through financial aid sought by their parents. Oxbridge Academy was founded by William I. Koch, of the influential American family of billionaires, who supported Trump's presidential bid at both elections.

The school doesn't have any COVID-19 protocols detailed on its website. However, most schools in Palm Beach County will not have any mask mandate for the kids.

In January 2021, the former president and first lady were vaccinated against the virus, but no details were revealed on what shots they received. It's also not clear if Barron has been vaccinated since over 12-year-old kids are eligible to get the jab in the U.S.
