Microsoft is going to release its new "Microsoft Surface Pro 4" in the coming days, and rumor has it that it will outdo the iPad Pro in the business market.
The battle for the business sector is a big one for Apple and Microsoft, and both companies are putting their bets on their products to win that area: Apple's iPad Pro, released just a few weeks ago, is going to be challenged by the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which is expected to be released on Oct. 6 as per Christian Today.
According to the website, Microsoft is quite silent about the device, but rumor has it that it will have the same form of the Surface Pro 3. Inside it, however are more powerful innards: an Intel Skylake processor chipset that makes it more powerful.
Unnamed sources also report that the new device will have twice the power of the Surface Pro 3, thanks to a higher GPU, and a RAM that will go from 8GB to 16GB.
Memory-wise, the website further adds that storage options will be 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. PC Tablet reports that a model supporting a whopping 1TB is also underway.
In keeping the form of its predecessor, Surface Pro 4 users will have the convenience of using Surface Pro 3 accessories. Display sizes will be 12-inch and 14-inches.
Yibada.com reports that rumors are saying that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is a better choice for people in the business market, compared to the iPad Pro. Although both have styluses and keyboards, and are light and thin, the Surface Pro 4 boasts of something that the iPad doesn't have.
The Surface Pro 4 will run on Windows, a desktop operating system that can run applications such as Lightroom and Photoshop. The iPad, on the other hand, runs on iOS, an operating system that is restricted to mobile apps that cannot replace desktop applications.
Additionally, the number of ports on the device is another reason why businesses might choose the Surface Pro 4 over the iPad Pro. The Surface Pro 3 has a Mini Display port, a microSD slot, and a USB 3.0 port, whereas the iPad Pro doesn't have all of these.
Yibada.com adds that the Surface Pro 4 is a better choice for companies or firms who develop their own apps because of the universal apps of Windows 10. Such companies can develop and run their apps on many devices without the hassle of compiling and designing them many times.
