Jessie J has revealed that she suffered from a miscarriage after getting pregnant with her first baby by herself. The famous singer also opened up about her personal, heartbreaking experience at an intimate hotel concert in Los Angeles.
The British hitmaker said that she decided to "have a baby by myself," knowing there are miracles. However, days before her show at The Hotel Cafe, Jessie learned that she had lost the baby from her doctor.
Amid tears, Jessie J also said that it had been the most challenging year for her as she was diagnosed with Meniere's disease, a type of ear condition, and she briefly lost her voice. Though she was optimistic about becoming better, she admitted that she had "never felt more alone" after her miscarriage.

Struggles with Infertility
In 2018, the "Price Tag" singer revealed her struggles with infertility. The doctor advised her to have a hysterectomy, but she refused because she still wanted to become a mother. She also poured her heart out about her infertility battle on the stage, telling her audience at the Royal Albert Hall in London that she completed her medication and will be shifting to natural healing as well as changing her diet.
A year later, Jessie J shared that she developed adenomyosis, abnormal growth of the endometrial tissues in her uterus. According to studies, women who suffer from adenomyosis raise the risk of a miscarriage by 15 percent if they get pregnant. Adenomyosis causes heavy bleeding, coupled with pain, during a woman's monthly cycle. The most recommended treatment for such a condition is a hysterectomy.
In a post on Instagram, the 33-year-old superstar further said that she's still shocked about the baby loss. She felt the need to share her story because she knows millions of women also suffer the same pain.
"I want to be honest and true and not hide what I'm feeling," Jessie J wrote. I want to be as myself as I can be in this moment," she added. "Not just for the audience but for myself and my little baby that did its best."
Split from Boyfriend
The news comes after Jessie J also confirmed that it's over between her and boyfriend Max Pham, a dancer, whom she started dating just seven months ago. Before Pham, the "Bang Bang" singer was dating Hollywood hunk Channing Tatum on and off for at least two years. Her relationship with Tatum inspired her upcoming album, which she was working on at that time.
She claimed in posts on social media that they shared an unhealthy relationship. Before Tatum, Jessie J also dated singer Luke James and showbiz bodyguard Kenny Hamilton.
The "Domino" singer got her start on the West End stage at 10 years old and has been known for her unconventional voice and style of performance as a soul, pop, and R&B singer.
