Netizens could not get enough of a viral photo showing a newborn baby smiling at her father after she hears her voice for the very first time.

Brazilian parents Flávio Dantas and Tarsila Batista have been over the moon about having their daughter. During the pregnancy, the couple had a ritual to talk to the baby inside the womb nearly every night.

Batista said that her husband never failed to tell their daughter how much he loves her every morning before he goes to work and at night while he gives his wife her back massages. The mother said that her husband's sweetness is one of the qualities that made him lovable.

The doctor handed the baby to her mother minutes after her birth and as she settled on her mother's chest, her dad repeated the very things he has been telling his daughter during the pregnancy. Instantly, the baby gave her dad a big smile which was fortunately caught on camera. Batista shared the beautiful photo on her Instagram account.

Bursting With Love

Dantas said that her love for his daughter can't fit inside the chest. He thought he understood the feeling of true love but looking at the "most sincere smile in the world" made him experience its real meaning.

According to reports, the baby's birth was equally special because it was Father's Day in Brazil. Her mother, on the other hand, also believes that she was been a gift from God.

The baby, who was christened Antonella, celebrated her second birthday with a themed party. Her mother said that she's currently obsessed with becoming a Disney princess.

Meanwhile, the experts said that babies start absorbing language and can recognize different voices inside the mother's womb in the final 10 weeks of the pregnancy. According to Dr. Patricia K. Kuhl, babies are tuning to their speech and language patterns even before they are born thus it's stimulating to talk to the baby in the womb.

Deaf Baby Reacts to Mom's Voice

In another story, another viral video of a baby who hears her mother's voice for the first time has been warming the hearts of netizens. Mom Christina Pacala uploaded the clip on TikTok to raise awareness about hearing loss.

Speaking with Fox News, Pacala shared that she agonized whether to share the video because she was careful to send the right message to her followers. She said that her daughter, Riley, has been deaf since she was born and was fitted with a hearing aid at five weeks old.

In the U.S., an average of two babies in 1,000 births are born with hearing issues, however, not all parents are willing to learn sign language, per the American Society of Deaf Children. Pacala said that hearing aids are not a fix but a tool to help those with hearing issues. The mother said that she and her husband are committed to providing "as many tools as possible" to help Riley develop and communicate. They have also been teaching her American Sign Language and have continuously talking to her despite her hearing loss.
