What she thought was going to be a hilarious holiday experience for her kids turned out to be most traumatic and costly for mom, Laura Magill. She hired an actor to play out a Grinch visit as a prank for her children but her plan backfired on her big time.
Magill, from Belfast, shared on social media that she paid an actor $112 to play The Grinch, the famous Dr. Seuss character, to bring some mischief for her kids. She gave the actor approval to mess up her house because she thought this would make their Christmas holiday truly unforgettable.
However, the actor played The Grinch too well that he ruined a lot of things in their house. He left Magill's home completely trashed with broken items, a slippery floor, and bits of food all over the place.

Not What She Planned
Magill said that she was expecting the Grinch visit to involve messed up beds, some pillow fights and toilet papers on the Christmas tree. She got so upset by what the actor did that she had to let him leave the house right away.
"Grinch defo came [and] stole Christmas," the mother said. "Never been so disgusted in my life!"
Photos of the Grinch visit have gone viral because many people found it so hilarious that the mom got exactly what she wanted -- a Grinch who ruins Christmas. Though some netizens were sympathetic, others pointed out how much Magill's sons look so thrilled about the big mess. Their faces in the photos said it all.
Meanwhile, other people questioned how Magill didn't intervene as soon as she saw that The Grinch was going overboard with the destruction. They also didn't feel it was right for the mom to pay someone to ruin their house and then become upset with it.
Magill has not yet made any statement about the aftermath of the Grinch visit. However, a local events company posted a clarification that they are not the party planners involved. LOC-Down Events said that while they do Grinch visits, their actors provide just mild mischief and play some games with the children.
No Complaints from Other Families
A few days later, Santa Stop Here Belfast acknowledged that it was their company Magill hired. In another hilarious jab, they posted a photo of The Grinch in jail and stated that he's been accosted for his "crimes."
On a serious note, the company also explained that it was Magill's sister who arranged for the job and they were indeed given conditions of what the Grinch visit should cover. The company said that they have been doing this for three years and had not gotten any complaints until this incident.
Dr. Seuss created the evil green creature, The Grinch, for his famous children's book "How The Grinch Stole Christmas," which was published in 1957. Since then, the literary character has also become iconic in movies and TV shows, and was portrayed by various actors, including Jim Carrey and Benedict Cumberbatch.
