"Matrix Resurrection" star Carrie-Anne Moss is aware of the viral video going around that she was allegedly blacklisted from Hollywood thus the lack of movie projects after she did "The Matrix" trilogy in the 2000s. The actress, however, laughed at the allegations in the video and revealed that she quit acting for several years because she wanted to be a full-time mom to her children.
Speaking with GQ, Moss said that she was pregnant with her first baby with husband Steven Roy while she was filming "Matrix Reloaded" in 2003. Then their family expanded to two more kids, Jaden and Frances, within the next five years so the actress decided to focus on them.
"I had kids and I wanted to be with them," Moss said. Today, her kids are all in their teens as Owen is 18, Jaden is 16 and Frances is 12 going on 13 years old.

A "Cozy-Cozy" Life
Her family lived on a farm in a rural town in California and both Moss and her husband run a holistic company, Annapurna Living. The actress said that her life away from Hollywood was "cozy-cozy" and her business has been a labor of love.
Moss is also a Kundalini practitioner, which is rooted in Hinduism, which has helped her realize her personal goals and satisfaction. Then by 2015, Moss got her Hollywood break for a second time when she was cast in the Marvel/Netflix series "Jessica Jones." The actress said that she was ready to shift her focus from her kids to taking big projects again. She stayed in New York for several months for her work in that series.
The mom said that she was looking forward to working on "Jessica Jones" because she was unable to talk to grown-ups for a while as her life was centered on her growing children. Her two years of work on that show allowed her to step out of her comfort zone yet she had her real, simple life to always come home to.
The actress also revealed in another interview that she wasn't actually "gone" from Hollywood and took very small projects after "The Matrix." Moss, who is now 53, shared that she was offered a role to be a grandmother when she turned 40 years old. She said it was a "brutal" reality pill to swallow because age is such a big deal in Hollywood.
Back as Trinity
Moss is back on the big screen again via "The Matrix" revival, "Matrix Resurrections," as she reprises the role she played in the groundbreaking blockbuster trilogy. The actress said that she was over the moon to play Trinity again and to reunite with co-star Keanu Reeves and director Lana Wachowski.
She revealed that she had to get back into shape again for months prior to filming the revival. The mom said that her physical training wasn't about getting back into the body she had when she was in her early 30s. She understood the struggles of reclaiming a type of physicality that she was "strong and comfortable in" after having three kids.
