Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton split as husband and wife in 2003 after a tumultuous short-lived marriage. But Thornton's youngest son, Harry James Thornton, who is now 27 years old, reveals that he still gets gifts from his stepmother every year, and they still talk when they get a chance.

Harry spoke with Entertainment Tonight to recall the moments he experienced with his stepmom as he launched his new TV show, "Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules." Harry said that Jolie is a cool person who took him and his siblings, William and Amanda, out camping every week.

"She was just so fun for us back when we were, like, younger," Harry said, adding that those camping skills he developed over the years will help him compete in his new series. He said that Jolie is still on his mailing list, and they occasionally talk on the phone after all these years.

Harry is the son of Billy Bob with his fourth ex-wife Pietra Dawn Cherniak, a former Playboy model. He is also charting a career in show business by working behind the scenes as a set dresser or a production property master.

Angelina and Billy Bob Remain Friends

Despite their split, Billy Bob acknowledged in an interview in 2018 that he and Jolie are still friends. He said he respects her career decisions as an actress because she would pick projects that mattered to her, regardless of whether it will be a box office hit or not.

To the outsiders, Billy Bob and Jolie's relationship has been seen as very unusual and unlikely because they have clashing personalities. They also have a 20-year gap between them.

However, Billy Bob said that his marriage to Jolie did not work out, not because of their age gap or personalities. He said that his ex-wife loves the global lifestyle while he's more afraid to leave places he's very comfortable with, describing himself as agoraphobic.

In 2005, Jolie told Vanity Fair that she had a hysterical life filled with laughter with Billy Bob. Eventually, however, she outgrew him and paid more attention to what was happening around the world, which sparked her political activism.

Jolie was also learning to be a young mom to Maddox, whom she adopted early in her marriage to Billy Bob. The actor realized he needed to let his wife go because he felt he was not good enough for her anymore as she had bigger goals and plans in her life.

"Don't Be Embarrassing"

Meanwhile, Billy Bob's only advice for Harry as he appears in a reality TV show is not to do anything embarrassing. Harry will join other celebrity kids at a secluded ranch in Colorado, where they will live and work for 30 days.

Also in the cast of "Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules" are Taylor Hasselhoff, David Hasselhoff's daughter; Myles O'Neal, Shaquille O'Neal's son; Hana Giraldo, Pat Benatar's daughter; Ebie Parker, grandson of Ray Parker Jr.; and Austin Gunn, Billy Gun's son.
