Parents of TikTok Star, a five-month-old baby who weighs a massive 12 kilograms, have created a social media firestorm with commenters accusing them of using filters on Tiktok to exaggerate their child's weight.

It all started when parents Ant Goodwin and Chelsea Meredith posted a video of their little son Ryder bouncing in his father's arms. The said video went viral because of baby Ryder's huge frame. The average weight of a five-month-old baby is around 7.4 kilograms, which Ryder easily surpasses.

Ryder's sudden growth spurt comes as a complete surprise considering his 39-year-old father is just 5'5" while his 29-year-old mother is only 5'4". Ryder is so big now that the five-month-old wears clothes for babies aged nine to 12 months and in some cases even for toddlers aged 12 through 18 months.

The TikTok video now has over 18 million views and three million likes.

However, not all are convinced of Ryder's enormous weight, with some people saying that filters were used by his parents when creating the now-viral video. Chelsea addressed that issue in an interview, saying, "A few people have accused us of using a filter to make him bigger, but he is just a big baby." She added that Ryder's father is not very tall, which exaggerates how big their five-month-old baby looks in the video.

Chelsea found out she was pregnant with Ryder on February 8, 2021. The couple was planning on having a third child, but the pregnancy still came as a complete shock to her as they were not trying for a very long time.

Switch to formula accelerates baby Ryder's growth

Chelsea's baby bump while carrying Ryder was large, but she did not find this surprising at all. Chelsea also had large bumps while she was pregnant with her two oldest children. Chelsea gave birth to Ryder at Tunbridge Wells Hospital on September 28, with the baby boy weighing a healthy 9 pounds and 12 ounces.

Chelsea said she and her husband took bets on what baby Ryder would weigh. Both parents were prepared to have a big baby, but they still could not quite believe that Ryder weighed that much.

Ryder was a huge lad, to begin with, and his rapid growth was accelerated further when Chelsea decided to switch him to formula when he was just two months old. Ryder sure has a huge appetite, drinking seven 6-ounce bottles each day. He now stands at 68.5 centimeters tall and weighs 12 kilograms.

Chelsea said that Ryder's weight is a huge shock to family members, especially when carrying him. According to relatives, it takes so much strength to hold the five-month-old tot, who is big for his age.
