Nikki Reed, Ian Somerhalder Baby: Fighting Over Baby Plans, Ian Pushing For A Kid & Reed Wants To Wait [Rumors]

Is the honeymoon already over for these newlyweds? Ian Somerhalder, 36, and Nikky Reed, 27, had a quiet and romantic wedding last April, but lately, the couple have allegedly been having huge fights over baby plans.

"They're arguing a lot," a source told OK! Magazine, according to Hollywood Life. The problems stem from the fact that while Ian is longing to have a child, his wife is not yet on board. "Nikki is ambitious and worries about derailing her career if she gets pregnant now," the source further revealed.

Only recently, Ian has expressed that he's already psyched for kids. He told Entertainment Tonight (ET) that he's "absolutely" ready and "can't wait" to be a dad. He's had much practice with their nine pets. "It's the most incredible thing to be happy and secure in something," he told ET. "It's a pretty crazy time and place to bring a child into this turbulent and insane world—but I really can't wait to do it and really just love it."

Both Nikki and Ian are busy with their TV commitments with "The Vampire Diaries" and "Sleepy Hollow" kicking off their new seasons this October. In fact, Nikki is already busy with guest stints to drum up promotion for the third season of "Sleepy Hollow," where she is the most recent cast addition. She plays Betsy Ross, Ichabod Crane's lover.

"I'm not your typical Betsy, not the one you would envision," Nikki said on the "Today" show, according to Daily Mail. "Not the one in the rocking chair. It's our own take on Betsy so she's kind of a kick-ass, sexier version," she added.

The show films in Atlanta, and fortunately, it's also the location for "The Vampire Diaries," her husband's show. "Somehow we joked that we manifested this because we work, like 15 minutes from each other," Nikki said.

Meanwhile, Ian shared a new clip to "The Vampire Diaries" on his Instagram account Tuesday and teased his followers with the caption, "Why is Damon naked in this new Vampire Diaries Trailer...?"

The vampire series is already on its seventh season on The CW and it will be the first one without one of its original stars, Nina Dobrev, Ian's ex-girlfriend.

In accepting a Teen's Choice award for her role as Elena Gilbert on the show recently, Dobrev belied all rumors that she's returning to the series. "These were six incredible years that I've had to pleasure of sharing with all you guys...change is coming, so hold on and enjoy the ride," she said, according to Variety.
