Ivanka Trump allegedly incriminated her father, Donald Trump, when she met with the House committee members who are investigating the Capital riot last January 2021. While the details of her testimony have not been released, committee vice-chair Rep. Liz Cheney alluded that Ivanka gave a "helpful" testimony that clarified her father's accountability.
Speaking with CNN, Cheney said that Ivanka sat with the committee for almost eight hours. Based on her testimony, Cheney said that it seemed like the former president knew that his actions and the actions of the people around him were unlawful but they still proceeded with it.
Ivanka apparently convinced her father to stop the Capitol riot two times. She was in the Oval Office when her father was on the phone with then-Vice President Mike Pence on that fateful January morning. At that time, Ivanka also posted a tweet urging the public to stop the violence but only after deleting a tweet where she called the rioters "American patriots."

Ivanka Trump Spoke Under Oath
Ivanka has always had unique access to how her father worked in the White House. However, when the J-6 investigations started, she and her husband, Jared Kushner, did not invoke their Fifth Amendment rights so they could protect the former president from prison. Instead, Ivanka sat and spoke with the J-6 House committee under oath. Kushner sat with the committee a month ahead.
U.S. Army prosecutor Glenn Kirschner said during his guest appearance on "The Stephanie Miller Show" that Ivanka's testimony appeared to be bad for Donald. Allegedly, she had inside information as to how her father refused the advice of Pence, as well his national security adviser, Keith Kellogg, when the riot was escalating.
"Even his own daughter couldn't stop him," Kirschner said, per the New York Times. "That is deeply incriminating information."
Ultimately, the riot injured more than 150 police officers and shut down the Capitol for a full day with many of the lawmakers hiding in the building, including the vice president.
Why Would Ivanka Trump Incriminate Donald Trump?
According to reports, the relationship between the former president, his daughter and his son-in-law soured after Donald could not stop talking about losing the 2020 elections. Vanity Fair reported in June 2021 that Ivanka and her husband have been distancing themselves from Donald to save their reputation.
In January 2022, Mary Trump, the niece of the president, predicted that Ivanka will flip sides and throw her father under the bus. Mary said that Ivanka has been calculating her moves because she also knows that her father will not protect her if the tables were turned.
The president's niece, who has spoken out against Donald many times before, said that it's her uncle's nature to dispose of those around him if they are no longer serving his interest.
