Britney Spears admits that although she is excited about her third pregnancy, she is nervous about becoming a mom for the third time as she reflects on how bad the media treated her during her past pregnancies.

In her new Instagram posts, the "Baby One More Time" singer admitted that she is worried about how the media will critique her parenting. Spears has her third pregnancy and first pregnancy with fiancé Sam Asghari.

Doubts about her motherhood

Her post said that although excited, she admits to being scared to make a mistake. She asks whether she will be thoughtful or intuitive enough. She also said that she is no saint but claims that the "media destroyed her when she first became a mother."

She said her first record came out when she was 16 and then 24. She said she was raising two babies, and she did not know how to play the game.

In her 40s, she thought about how she was discussed in the press conference during her time as a young mother, adding that the media has been "extremely rude" to her, ABC News said.

She thought about starting a podcast instead of therapy to declare all the crazy mixed emotions and hormones so she would not "become an angry person eating donuts every morning." Spears, however, said that everything would work out, as she would just be herself and stop trying so hard.

Britney on her pregnancy and motherhood

Britney shared an incident where Jayden, her eldest, had a high fever, and she opted to take care of him at home than take him to the doctor. She said the fever broke in the morning, and she knew that she did the right thing in trusting her parental instinct. However, Grazia Daily reports that the media portrayed her as a terrible mom, and she eventually questioned herself.

Spears shares two sons with Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, with ex Kevin Federline.

In 2007, Britney lost custody of her two kids after she suffered a breakdown. The star then shaved her head and attacked a photographer's car with an umbrella before being photographed driving her sons with a suspended license, as per Now to Love.

The following year, Spears was placed in the conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears.

Federline and Spears reached a new custody agreement in 2019 granting her 30 percent unsupervised custodial rights to her sons, while Federline had the majority custody.

In 2021, Spears shared a rare photo of her kids on Instagram, revealing that she still has a close bond with her two boys, who are now teenagers. She explained that she does not share many photos of them as they are at the age where they want to express their own identities.

Spears revealed that she learned that she was pregnant with their first child after gaining weight after the pair's recent trip to Hawaii.

Britney's fiancé, Sam Asghari, was happy about the pregnancy news and vowed that he would not take fatherhood lightly.
