'Tekken 7' PS4, Xbox One Release Date: No Details At Tokyo Game Show; Delayed Due to Port & PC Version In Development? [Rumors]

Many are very excited with the upcoming franchise of the popular fighting game series "Tekken." Earlier reports confirmed that game producer Katsuhiro Harada will appear in the Tokyo Game Show to give critical details about "Tekken 7."

GameNGuide reported earlier that Harada will declare a formal launch date of "Tekken 7" for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at the annual video game convention. Since then many have been looking forward to the said event, but much to fans' disappointments there were no information about the anticipated game during the event.

According to Venture Capital Post, "Tekken 7" was not among the titles that were presented by Bandai Namco during the event. The publisher showcased other upcoming big titles including "Disney Infinity 3.0," "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," "God Easter Resurrection" and "Digimon World: Next Order."

Harada already revealed that the game will be available for PS4 and Xbox One. However, since that announcement, the official release date of the game's console versions have been under wraps and fans are left in the dark as to when the game will arrive.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that the company is working on a PC version of the game which may prompt Bandai Namco to push back the title's release date. Gamers who wanted to enjoy "Tekken 7" will be delighted with this report but others are concerned that nothing will be released in 2015, Realty Today has learned.

The reports about the development of a PC port have not been confirmed yet but the game developers have neither confirmed nor denied it, according to Venture Capial Post. If in case, PC port is in development more likely the launching of "Tekken 7" to current gen consoles will not be pursued until early 2016.

"Tekken 7" will acquire several changes from its previous versions. The new title has a greater program and will feature extra 27 characters with some of them returning from the previous franchise. The plot will be darker than the previous titles but closer to the plot of "Tekken 4," GameNGuide reports. The game will put an end to the Mishima family storyline as well as to the conflict among Heihachi, Kazuya and Jin.

According to IGN, "Tekken 7" has been released in Japanese arcades since February but there were no reports about the game since then. There were plenty of Western release dates for Bandai Namco last week but it did not include the title.

Aside from "Tekken 7" other great games that missed TGS include "The Last Guardian," "Kingdom Heart 3," "Deep Down," "Tales of Berseria," "Scalebound" and "Pokken Tournament."
