Lalene Malik got the shock of her life when she gave birth to a miracle baby in a hospital toilet. The West London mom did not know she was pregnant at all and Malik is now criticizing her doctor for allegedly missing chances to spot that she was expecting a baby.

ITV News reported that Malik was taken by her family to A&E at Northwick Park Hospital after suffering an excruciating stomach ache at home in Greenford back in March. The 23-year-old believed she must be constipated and did not think she was pregnant at all as she had been prescribed the contraceptive pill five months earlier and had two negative pregnancy tests back in February.

Malik's mother, Sumra, had an "intuition" that something was wrong, though. According to Malik, her mother sounded the alarm with nearby doctors when she began crying in pain after going to the hospital bathroom while waiting to be seen by medics.

Miracle baby stuck in bowl for seven minutes

Malik said she was about to flush the toilet when the tiny arm of her baby Mohammed Ibrahim was spotted in the bowl. Malik was terrified that she and her son's lives were in danger. According to a report by the Leicester Mercury, Malik believes that her baby may have been stuck in the bowl for up to seven minutes before the newborn was rescued by medics.

Malik said that she was gone and that her mind was blank during that time. She was put in another room because obviously she was crying and her mother was crying as well. Malik added that it was a complete shock and a trauma for both of them and she felt that her life was in danger.

Malik said that her mother started crying and asked her "Don't you know you have a baby?" Doctors who retrieved Malik's baby said that he "looked lifeless" and was not breathing. Fortunately for Malik, their resuscitation efforts proved to be successful as they were able to bring him back to life.

Miracle baby Ibrahim now completely healthy after toilet scare

Dr. Ewa Grocholski, who helped save baby Ibrahim by giving him chest compressions after getting the young child out of the bowl, said that it was the "most amazing experience of her medical career."

Ibrahim was born full-term and is now completely healthy after he was monitored carefully by hospital staff and given oxygen to aid in his recovery. Malik described her son as a miracle baby but she has accused Elm Trees surgery in Greenford, her family doctor, of failing to carry out the necessary tests properly which could have revealed that she was pregnant.

Malik told Sky News that if she had known that she was pregnant, she would have cherished those moments going shopping and getting stuff ready for her baby. Malik added that her husband was abroad at the time of her surprise delivery and like them was in "complete shock" when he learned of the birth.
