Britney Spears made a heartbreaking announcement on Instagram, revealing that she and her fiance, Sam Ashgari, lost their miracle baby a month after posting that she was pregnant.

She said it is a devastating time for any parent, but she assured everyone that her and Sam's love for each other is their strength and they will continue to expand their beautiful family. They said they are grateful for the support of their fans as they ask for privacy at this most challenging time, the USA Today reported.

Pregnancy Announcement

The "Hit Me Baby One More Time" singer announced that she and Ashgari were expecting their first child together last month. Spears explained that she was confused when she lost so much weight when she announced her pregnancy in April, only to gain it back on their Maui trip.

She wondered what happened to her stomach, noting that Asghari, whom she referred to as her husband, told her she was "food pregnant." Four days after taking the pregnancy test, she pointed out that she got a little more pregnant, and it was growing.

In her recent post, she discussed her mood swings and food cravings. She posted that she feels like jumping out of the car and running naked like Jim Ferrell in "Old School." She also posted that she craved pizza, but when she tasted it, it tasted like salami. She also admitted that pizza looks deceiving, but it does not taste good.

Sam and Britney admitted they should have waited to announce until they were further along with the pregnancy. However, they acknowledged that they were overly excited to share the good news, Daily Mail posted.

The couple said they would continue in their attempts to have another child. Sam, who posted the statement on his account, commented, "we will have a miracle soon (red heart emoji).

The end of Conservatorship

These developments came less than a year after the "Toxic" singer asked to end her Conservatorship. She then testified against her family in court against her father, Jamie Spears, 70, who controls the Conservatorship. Britney accused her father of mental abuse and that she was not allowed to get married or have a child under the Conservatorship.

The father filed for Conservatorship of Britney in 2008, claiming that his daughter was not legally well enough to make her own decision.

She disclosed that she had an IUD in her body, and her conservators would not let her go to the doctor to take it out. The star called her situation abusive and called for her father and those involved in her Conservatorship to be jailed, Hollywood Life reported.

Then 13-year Conservatorship was terminated by the Los Angeles Superior Court in November last year.

Spears already has two children, Sean and Jayden, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
