The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are in for another engagement. Kate Middleton and Prince William are set to visit London to raise awareness on children's mental health issues.
Two weeks ago, the royal mom was back on her royal duties and her return made headlines when she sported a new hairstyle that garnered a mixed reaction from the public. In an earlier report from Parent Herald, Middleton regrets her bangs after receiving several negative feedbacks about it.
However, the celebrity mom is quick enough to bounce back. Obviously, she doesn't want those issues to hold her back. According to Hello! Daily News, on Saturday, Oct. 10, Middleton and Prince William will be traveling to London's Harrow College to attend an event run by mental health charity Mind, in collaboration with World Mental Health Day.
On the said event, the royal couple will meet young people who have experienced mental health problems, survived it and are current volunteers with Mind. They will be learning about the new Mindkit project. Mindkit is being delivered across London. It educates young people about emotional health and resilience.
Moreover, Prince William and Middleton will also be introduced to the campaign, "Time to Change," an advocacy on breaking down the stigma of speaking about mental health issues.
"We are delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be joining Mind to celebrate this year's World Mental Health Day," said Paul Farmer, CEO of Mind.
"Their support will shine a spotlight on mental health and we hope it will spark conversations in households across the country, amplifying the vital message that it's time to talk about mental health. We hope it will encourage people to think about the little things we can all do to make a difference to anyone experiencing a mental health problem."
The report suggests that Kate a doting mom to Prince George and Princess Charlotte is a patron of several children charities. In fact, earlier this year she showed her support for Children's Mental Health Week by recording a video message about how she and Prince William witnessed children struggling to cope with the impact of bullying and family breakdown.
Meanwhile, while many think motherhood is as easy as pie to the celebrity mom who is used to royal duties, Kate still needs parenting tips. In fact, according to OK! Magazine, Kate received a copy of "The Modern Mother's Handbook" that contains "a concise guide chock-full of no-nonsense parenting tip."
Just like any parent, she is very grateful for every help she gets. The royal mom took time out of her royal duties to send a thank-you to the author.
