Post Malone managed to sneak in an exciting update regarding his personal life while chatting with Howard Stern on the latter's SiriusXM radio show on Monday, June 13. The rapper made a huge revelation in the interview, saying he is now engaged and a new dad, according to CNN.
Malone casually revealed the baby news while talking about what time he had woken up to get to the studio. He told Stern that he woke up at 2:30 P.M., went and kissed his baby girl, and then played some music.
Stern then asked Malone if the "baby girl" he mentioned was his girlfriend. Malone answered, "That's my daughter," before sharing to Stern that he kept things private because he wanted to let her make her own decisions.
Malone confirms that he is now engaged to his partner
When Stern asked for clarification if his unidentified partner was his girlfriend or his wife, the "Congratulations" star revealed that she was his fiancée. Billboard confirmed just last month that the "Circles" singer was expecting his first baby with his mystery longtime girlfriend.
According to TMZ, which first reported the happy baby news, the couple celebrated the joyous occasion with a small, private party in Southern California. Post Malone has yet to confirm when his first child was born or his daughter's name.
Post said in a recent interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe that he was "pumped beyond belief" to be a father, something he had been dreaming about since he was a kid who walked around with a baby doll all the time.
Malone added that he thought his doll was the coolest thing and would take him around everywhere. He was beaming when recalling that memory, saying, "And I don't know how long that lasted. But my mom still has it. And I guess, Zane, I'm so pumped up. I'm going to be a hot dad."
Post Malone excited for this chapter in his life
The two significant developments in Post Malone's personal life came a little more than just a month after his representative confirmed to E! News that he and his fiancée were expecting their first child.
Malone issued a statement at that time, saying, "I'm excited for this next chapter in my life; I'm the happiest I've ever been, and for since I could remember, I was sad. Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day."
Malone, whose real name is Austin Post, grew up in Texas and has become one of the best-selling artists of all time. His numerous hit songs include "Rockstar," "Sunflower," "Better Now," and "White Iverson." He currently lives in Utah, where he has a multimillion-dollar 12,700-square-foot home in Cottonwood Heights.
