Many gamers are excited for the next series of the popular fighting video game "Street Fighter." Capcom has already revealed that "Street Fighter 5" will be released next year on PlayStation 4 and PC. While it is still far from its release date, more details about the anticipated game circulate online.
According to GeekSnack, "Street Fighter 5" producer Yoshinori Ono shared an image about the game. Unfortunately, it's difficult to tell what the image is about. The image seems to show a bracelet. Check it here.
In a separate report from GeekSnack, Ono also teased another image earlier. The image was released few hours before the "Street Fighter 5" Tokyo Game Show stage event. It features Ryu getting hit by a powerful special attack. The same photo has been shared by Ono right before the Rashid.
Due to the frequency of Ono's posts of the said photo, many are expecting that there will be an announcement about it. You can check the photo here.
According to the report, among the characters who will be joining the roster of "Street Fighter 5" is the Middle Eastern fighter Rashid. The said character will be a very agile fighter who is equipped with some wind-based special attacks. The report suggests that the addition of Rashid contributes to the diversity to the gameplay's style.
On the other hand, according to IGN, the Japanese video game magazine Famitsu, posted images of Laura performing various moves online. One photo features Laura grappling with Ryu. The report suggests that Laura's fighting style is some sort of Brazilian jiu-jitsu based on the types of strikes and holds she uses. See photo here.
According to the report, it's opposed to the series' other Brazilian mainstay, Blanka, who practices her version of capoeira. However, Laura and Blanka appear to share some similarities as well. Both have lighting-based attacks, including what appears to be some sort of projectile.
In a separate report from IGN, Zangief will also be joining the roster. The wrestler possesses an assortment of body slams, suplexes, and pile divers. He is also equipped with new abilities including the V-Skill: Iron Muscle and V-Trigger: Cyclone Lariat.
GeekSnack reports that the upcoming title will not only come with a new gameplay mechanics, but it will also be graced with a brand new approach to additional post-release content. Capcom announced that players will only have to purchase "Street Fighter 5" once, the remaining balance and system requirements will be available to those who purchased without charges.
Players will also be able to unlock extra fighters by using an in-game currency. It's also possible to unlock these characters through a premium currency.
"Street Fighter 5" is still in development and will be released on PlayStation 4 and PC sometime next year.
