The parents of Kaylee Jones, the Georgia teen missing since June 14, are upset at the police for treating her case as a runaway. Daniel and Brenda Jones believed that the authorities were not doing enough to locate their daughter, who has special needs and can be very trusting towards strangers.

Speaking with Daily Mail, Brenda said Kaylee is on the autism spectrum and needs her medication daily. The mom fears that Kayle does not realize she is in danger because her mental state is that of a young kid who could be easily lured away.

Brenda also decried that the Carroll County police department has yet to issue a Mattie's Alert, which the Georgie government established to alert agencies of a missing disabled or elderly person and conduct a search using dog detectors. The Jones family was told that Kayle's case doesn't qualify because she is a high-functioning teenager with special needs.

Where is Kaylee Jones?

Kaylee was last seen in her home in rural Georgia. Her parents even said good night to her at 11 p.m. on June 14. The next morning, she was no longer in her room. Daniel told CBS 46 that he got a call at work from his wife that their daughter had been missing.

Investigations showed that Kaylee was talking to a few guys on Snapchat. Two days before her disappearance, her parents took her phone precisely because of this; thus, it has been harder for the authorities to track her down.

However, she was still able to access the internet through her laptop, which had traces of her communications with strangers on the community site, Omegle. Dan and Brenda said that Kaylee had given out their personal information and their home address to strangers in the past.

Kaylee, who is 5ft and 8 inches tall with brown eyes and hair, might have climbed out of her bedroom to leave their house. She carried a dark blue backpack with a horse design and was likely wearing black sneakers.

The police believed Kaylee met up with someone she had met online. They have gotten in touch with some of the contacts found on her laptop but did not say if there were some progress in the investigations.

Her parents fear, however, that Kaylee was being groomed by her friends on Snapchat and may have become a victim of sex trafficking. The police continue to receive tips and other information that may help with their investigations via 770-830-5916 or kbiggs@carrollsheriff.com.

Allegations against the parents

Meanwhile, internet sleuths on Reddit have alleged that Kaylee, whose real name is Lillian Paige Temple, didn't want to live with her adoptive parents anymore. In another interview, Brenda admitted that Kaylee also left home in February but was found four hours later, thanks to a stranger's help.

According to HibaChai on YouTube, the parents have made statements that suggested their regret for adopting a child with special needs and a hereditary mental health condition. HibaChai also alleged, based on tips she received, they were not showing genuine concern and urgency for Kaylee's disappearance.

HibaChai said she did not want to disrespect the Jones by raising her doubts against them. However, she could not ignore the same observations made by other people who watched the parents in media interviews and discussed the issue on Reddit.

The YouTuber also received tips from people who have personal knowledge of Kaylee's alleged physical abuse from her adoptive parents. She reiterated that she is not making accusations but is interested in learning the truth about Kaylee's disappearance.
