Cher shared on Twitter on Monday night that she had three miscarriages, the first one at 18, during her ill-fated marriage to Sonny Bono.

She recalled that when she was 18, she was alone at home when her husband, Bono, found her "sobbing" and "rocking on the floor." When she saw a doctor, Cher said she was "screaming in pain," prompting medics to rush her to the hospital and straight into the operating room, Page Six reports.

What would happen to me today

She posted "WHAT WOULD HAPPEN 2 ME TODAY," referring to the Supreme Court ruling against abortion rights when it overturned the Roe v. Wade ruling.

The 76-year-old Goddess of Pop said that she had two kids years later. Her first child, Chaz Bono, was born when she was 22. She later welcomed her son Elijah Blue Allman with her late ex-husband Gregg Allman.

The singer added that her miscarriages while trying to have a child with Bono were a nightmare. She said that it was a spontaneous miscarriage, where her body spontaneously aborts the fetus. She said it is called an "angry fetus."

At the time, she felt miserable. People would congratulate her because she was pregnant, only to lose it later. They would then be saying sorry. She said that she did not want to hear it anymore at the time.

When she was pregnant with Chastity, the doctor advised her to stay in her bed for three months. She was not allowed to ride cars and just needed to stay home. She followed her doctor's advice. She also shared on Parade that she had a difficult delivery with Chaz, noting having hemorrhages after she came home from giving birth.

No woman is safe in America

Fans reacted to her post, saying they had no idea she had pregnancy losses. She responded that she never thought she would need to share her experience, referencing Supreme Court's recent landmark decision against abortion. She added that the "insane Republicans will kill Women for Politics." She continued that no woman is safe in America, adding that no sane person will be safe.

The Supreme Court's recent decision has raised several issues regarding women's reproductive health. Recently, a woman from Texas said she was forced to carry her dead fetus for two weeks as doctors feared that dilatation and curettage (D&C), the procedure used to treat miscarriage, is also used for terminating pregnancies.

Doctors told Marlena Stell, a Youtuber and founder of the cosmetics company Makeup Geek, that her baby was normal. But when she had a second ultrasound, it revealed that the baby had no heartbeat. Worse, doctors would not perform the standard surgery to remove the fetus. They may get cases in court and have their licenses revoked for performing the procedure after Texas passed its Anti-abortion law. According to Metro, she carried the baby for two weeks after a medical provider was willing to operate.

Stell said she is angry about the experience because the laws were passed by men who have never been pregnant and never will be.
