Android Marshmallow 6.0 Download & Release Date: LG G3, G4 Update Up Next! List Of Devices Here! [HTC, LG, Nexus, Motorola & More]

Although Android Marshmallow 6.0 updates will come in unspecified dates for various manufacturers, various devices have been confirmed to be receiving it when it becomes available for download.

According to G for Games, a support page shows that the fluffy firmware update is going to be released to three variants of the LG G4 and LG G3: The LG G4 F500S, F500K, and F500L; as well as the LG G3 F400S, F400K, and F400L.

Sadly, it will not be available for the LG G2 and LG G Flex 2, as there were no indications of the said units receiving the update. The recently revealed dual-screen LG V10, although pre-installed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop at release, might get the Marshmallow after some time.

The International Business Times reports that G4 and G3 users can check for the update's availability. However, support pages that will give detailed information regarding the update are still to be listed.

Taiwanese tech giant HTC, according to iDigital Times, will also have the firmware update on its devices, namely the HTC One M9 and HTC One M8, before the year closes. In its Twitter page, the company unveiled a list of all their devices that will have the download as well.

The HTC devices that will receive the update include the HTC One M9+, One E9+, One E9, One ME, One E8, E8 EYE, Butterfly 3, Desire 826, Desire 820, and 816. These will reportedly run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow as well. However, official dates have not been given at the present time. The HTC One M7 and One Max phablet, however, will not receive the update.

Samsung, as per Tech Times, is also reported to be working on giving a major update to the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, and Galaxy Note 5. According to the tech new outlet, although no actual detail regarding the update has been released, as the said devices are already running on Lollipop, the only major update to expect could be Marshmallow.

Motorola, according to the IBTimes, has also announced recently that it has the Marshmallow update arriving on its smartphones. Google also announced that it will release a stock Marshmallow to Nexus 6, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2013, Nexus 9, and Nexus Player. However, due to some hardware issues, the 2012 Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will not have the update.

Android Marshmallow 6.0, the new firmware update, has several interesting features that users will enjoy, such as a battery-saving app called Doze, Google Now on Tap, fingerprint scanner support, and USB Type-C support.
