It has been over four years of waiting and there's no doubt that the sixth installment of the popular book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" is long overdue. Fans are anxious to know when the book will be released. A new report teases that "The Winds of Winter" might be available early next year.
According to a Polish website PIESN LODU I OGNIA via Winter Is Coming, a translator named Michael Jakuszewski revealed that he was asked to reserve some time at the end of the year to translate the long-awaited book "The Winds of Winter" into Polish.
The report suggests that the translator has a slight distance to the information. Nevertheless, it presents a glimpse of hope to fans that soon they can run their fingers across the pages of the book.
It seems that there's a big possibility that the anticipated book will see the light of day soon. In an earlier report from Parent Herald, Alejo Cuervo, an editor for Ediciones Gigames who owns the right to publish the book disclosed that the book is "expected next year."
"We have been promised the manuscript in advance of the release in English which we will translate, there won't be a big difference," Cuervo said.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the 67-year-old author wrote on his blog his thought about scheduling his book to any publishers.
"I certainly hope that THE WINDS OF WINTER is not on the schedule of ANY of my publishers. I have spent years trying to persuade them all not to schedule my books until they are completed and delivered," Martin wrote. "Scheduling, and then having to reschedule and postpone, just pisses people off. I'd rather not schedule at all until the date is real and certain."
According to the Polish translator, he was asked to reserve his schedule at the end of the year and following Martin's statement that he does not want to schedule his book until it is certain; there's a big possibility "The Winds of Winter" will soon hit the bookshelves.
Many are looking forward for the book to be released early next year. Martin already revealed that he was aiming to launch the book before "Game of Thrones" season 6. The popular HBO hit series will return in Spring of 2016. Thus, the book should be out in the first quarter of the following year.
The celebrity author has already revealed his eagerness to finish the book. "I wish it was out now. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish," Entertainment Weekly reports. He added that he canceled several public appearances and turned down interviews to concentrate on the book.
