American model and television personality Chrissy Teigen frequently appeared in Sports Illustrated, an annual swimsuit issue. She first gained fame for modeling work in an advertising campaign for brands such as Gillette, UGG (American Footwear), and Billabong.

According to the "Craving" cookbook author, she is expecting another baby after she had Vitro fertilization or IVF and announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

"The last few years have been a blur of emotions, to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again," Teigen wrote alongside a photo of herself showing off her baby bump. "1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as you can see!) we have another on the way. It's been very hard keeping this in for so long!" she captioned the post.

Teigen's struggle with infertility

Several days before sharing the news, she told her followers that she had been hospitalized due to excessive bleeding. The announcement regarding her pregnancy comes nearly two years after she shared a heartbreaking Instagram post that she suffered a miscarriage.

Teigen, who shares 5-year-old Luna and 2-year-old Miles with musician and songwriter John Legend, said she learned a lot from her pregnancy loss and will be leaning on IVF to get pregnant. The 35-year-old television personality attested that there's no one way to become a parent, and there will be no straight road as she had seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.

On the other hand, the former "Lip Sync Battle" host confessed that after the events of her pregnancy with her unborn son, Jack, she was told not to try to get pregnant again, which complicated her healing journey. She admitted that things were hard for her as she wanted to try again. She had to go to therapy twice a week.

The former model said she and her husband, John Legend, want more kids and may consider using a surrogate as she claimed it's not the end of her journey. The actress hoped to inspire many people by sharing her story. She wanted them to be like her, as open and honest as they'd like to be, and guarantee that they would get the same from her.

Sharing the announcement was nerve-wracking but also blissful

In an Instagram post, the "Chrissy's Court" actress expressed her apprehension regarding pregnancy and talked about how she felt every appointment and how nervous she was every time she visited her doctor.

The actress would tell herself every appointment that if the doctor said it was healthy, she would make the announcement. She admitted that it made her anxious but then breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing her child's heartbeat and decided she was just too nervous. She said she doesn't think she'll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves, but everything seems perfect, beautiful, and amazing.

It's still unclear if Teigen will be having a baby boy or baby girl, but many of her fans and friends have already flooded her comments section sharing their warm wishes and congratulatory messages which also include her fellow "Cravings" co-author, Adeena Sussman, per Good Morning America.
