Olivia Newton-John's daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, paid a touching tribute to her late mom after the star's death at the age of 73. The California native shared several vintage photos of herself and her mother on Monday, August 8, shortly after Newton-John's husband, John Easterling, announced the death of the "Grease" star.

The Xanadu actress can be seen in one photo holding her infant daughter at the beach, while several other pictures showed an adult Lattanzi preparing to film something with her mom. The "Play With Me" songstress is Newton-John's only child with ex-husband Matt Lattanzi, whom she divorced back in 1995. The Grammy winner married the 70-year-old Easterling back in 2008.

Easterling announced his wife's passing on Monday in a statement he shared via social media platforms Facebook and Instagram, according to CNN. They asked in the announcement that everyone please respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time. He said that Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer.

Olivia Newton-John survived cancer for 30 years

The American Music Award winner was first diagnosed with the serious illness back in 1992 when she underwent a partial mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. The disease returned, however, in 2013 and again in 2017.

Days before her death, Chloe shared a snap of herself and her mother posing outdoors in coordinating white outfits. The musician wrote via Instagram on Friday, August 5, that she worships this woman, her mother and her best friend.

Chloe and her mother teamed up last year for the duet "Window in the Wall," which debuted back in January 2021. The Dancing With the Stars Australia alum told Us Weekly at the time that they disagree all the time on things. She added that they are very different artists, but she thinks where they do really well is when they sing together. They push each other to do things that they would not normally do and then thank each other afterward.

Newton-John added that they had a lot of fun doing the duet. Chloe also admitted in the interview that singing in front of her iconic mother could be nerve-racking. She said that she gets extremely nervous performing in general as she is a perfectionist. She added that her mom more than anyone makes her nervous. She explained that she suffers from severe stage fright but she somehow goes into a trance and pushes through it.

The mother-daughter pair also appeared together in the 2017 TV movie Sharknado 5: Global Swarming. The "Physical" songstress played a character named Orion, who was a shark scientist, while Chloe had a cameo in the film as her partner, Electra, according to the Guardian.
