Her death was announced by John Easterling, the singer's husband. He did not mention the specific cause of the actress' death but cited the breast cancer diagnosis she had lived with since 1992. She continues her healing journey by using plant medicine with the use of her foundation called Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, which is dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer.

Commemorating the late mother

Chloe Lattanzi, the only child, and daughter of the late Glee actress shared a tribute by posting a behind-the-scenes video of their duet way back in 2021 "Window in the Wall" on Instagram and wrote a sincere message.

"You are my lighthouse mama. My safe place. My heart space. It has been my honor and continues to be my honor to be your baby and best friend," the 36-year-old singer wrote. You are an angel on earth and everyone touched by you has been blessed"

"I love you forever my life-giver, my teacher, my mama." the only child concluded.

The video display the affection and the close relationship between the two as they take turns performing the ballad's verses. They were embracing and smiling at one another as they are singing the song.

In an interview, with TODAY, the Hopelessly Devoted Singer, said that the song just pulled her and the song was emotional that she started crying whenever the song was played as it hit her in the gut. When thinking of the song, the first person she would think of is her daughter as the song is all about relationships, forgiveness, compassion, and seeing different perspectives and views but with love, understanding, genuineness, and sincerity.

Lattanzi said that she loved her mom and she was touched by the fact that her mom could have asked anyone to sing it with her since she's popular but then she asked her daughter, which touched her heart. She said that working with her mom was unforgettable and was a great experience as she can't ask for a better job considering that she likes her mom more than anyone else, per TODAY.

Displayed appreciation and love 'til the actress' last breath

Chloe made a promise to her mom weeks before her mom's death that she will stand by her always and forever. She posted never-before-seen photos of her kissing her mom with a caption that she's always at the back of her mother and she got her all the time and will walk to the ends of the earth.

She had moved in with the Grease actress recently due to the pandemic and something Olivia said she is forever grateful for as she was able to spend time with her daughter and treat it as one of the special moments of her life.

Olivia gave birth to Chloe with her former husband Matt Lattanzi in 1986, per Daily Mail.
