Anne Heche's Eldest Son Says He Is Left With Extreme Sadness Following Mom's Death

Anne Celeste Heche or commonly known as Anne Heche was an American actress, director, and screenwriter. She became popular after portraying Vicky Hudson and Marley Love in a soap opera "Another World." Her portrayal gained her a Daytime Emmy Award and another two Soap Opera Digest Awards.

The "Men in Trees" actress died at 53 and was confirmed by her family in a statement released on Friday.

Actress' representative confirmed to ABC News on Monday that she was involved in a one-car crash. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a driver smashed a two-story house in the Mar Vista neighborhood around Friday noon. Such struck caused a structural compromise and resulted in a blasting heavy blaze and made a woman in critical condition. The woman was named Anne Heche.

The department released a statement on Thursday that they have received results of blood that was drawn shortly after the incident. The result showed that she had narcotics in her system. The first respondents who took Heche out of the car said that they are unsure whether she can live for a long time considering the critical injuries she received from the accident. Also, she was unable to talk and her ID might have been burned in the fire. It took Los Angeles Police Department until Saturday to identify Heche.

Commemorating the Spread Actress' memories as a mother

Unfortunately, the actress died a week after the car accident. She had two children namely, Atlas Heche Tupper and Homer Laffoon. The latter paid tribute to his mother in a statement that says that he and his brother lost their mom.

Homer wrote:

"After six days of almost unbelievable emotional swings, I am left with a deep wordless sadness. Hopefully, my mom is free from pain and beginning to explore what I like to imagine as her eternal freedom. Over those six days, thousands of friends, family, and fans made their hearts known to me. I am grateful for their love, as I am for the support of my Dad, Coley, and my stepmom Alexi who continue to be my rock during this time. Rest In Peace Mom, I love you, Homer."

The late actress' family recognized her kindness and courage as she had a huge heart that touched almost everyone she met. Additionally, not only does her unique talent become memorable to them but they also witness how the actress spread empathy and joy to her environment most especially by moving the needle for acceptance of who you truly love. The family, according to the Good Morning America (GMA), will bear in mind Heche's courageous honesty and she will surely be missed for her light.

The late actress decided to donate her organs

Heche's representative told the outlets that she had suffered a significant pulmonary injury and needed mechanical ventilation as the burns she obtained needs to have surgical intervention. The representative revealed that she is not expected to survive due to her severe injuries as she was also declared brain dead.

According to a statement on behalf of Heche's family and friends, the late actress said that her plans a long time ago were to donate her organs and during her hospitalization, she's being kept on life support to specify if any are viable, per Yahoo News.
