Love knows no limits for a young Texas man as he's not bothered by his 47-year age gap with his future bride, who is a great-grandmother.

Devaughn Aubrey, 27, met Kathi Jenkins, 74, at an adult hookup site in 2021, which means that the beginning of their relationship was based on a physical attraction. While they sought each other because of sex, the pair soon fell in love and decided to marry.

Jenkins, who never married, has had long-term relationships before, which resulted in her four grown children, 13 grandkids, 36 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Aubrey was married once but had no children. He divorced shortly after meeting Jenkins.

According to the New York Post, Aubrey felt Jenkins is his perfect match despite their nearly five decades of age difference. He claimed they had never fought in their relationship because his beloved knows how to make him feel better when upset.

On the other hand, Jenkins described their relationship as the healthiest she had ever been in, after all these years.

Jenkins reminds Aubrey of his own grandmother

The 27-year-old said his family thought he was joking when he disclosed this relationship. They had a few misgivings when they learned he was serious about being in love with a woman much older than him until they understood that he likes older women.

Aubrey has friends of Jenkins' age, who also wonder why he chose to be with a woman who can never have his kids anymore. However, the young Texas man said his friends support his choices.

There are also people around them who have assumed that he's with Jenkins because of money. But Aubrey, who works in a Walmart stockroom, said that he fell in love with his future bride because of her sense of humor, her sexiness, and the fact that she reminds him of his grandmother.

"She knows a lot of those old songs that remind me of the stuff my grandmother liked," Aubrey said, per Daily Mirror.

On the other hand, Jenkins said that Aubrey impressed her because he didn't say stupid stuff when they first hooked up four months after meeting online. He is unlike anyone she had encountered before because he's very vocal about his love and attraction for her. Aubrey even brags about his girlfriend to his co-workers.

While most of her kids and grandkids support this relationship, Jenkins has one daughter who does not like Aubrey and only because he is vegan. Her longtime best friend is thrilled that she has found new love again.

The pair plans to tie the knot in 2023. They hope their relationship will break down the stigma against couples with huge age gaps.

Couple with a 40-year age gap celebrate 17th wedding anniversary

Meanwhile, one couple with a 40-year age gap has defied the odds after celebrating their 17th wedding anniversary. Edna and Simon Martin, 87 and 47 years old, respectively, fell in love with each other at first sight more than 18 years ago at a concert.

She was then a 68-year-old grandmother of four whose grandkids were as old as Simon, then 28. Her family did take time to adjust to the relationship, but they were very supportive of the couple when the Martins got married in 2005. Edna's son gave her away, and her daughter baked the wedding cake.

The pair said they have learned to ignore the judgmental looks and comments they have gotten all these years. They have inspired others to be more open to relationships with huge age gaps.

These days, however, no one notices their age gap anymore since both of them get around with mobility aid, the pair told Daily Mail with a laugh. Yet they continue to express their love publicly through kisses, hugs, and touches.
