The former co-host of "The Real, Adrienne Bailon," and her American contemporary Christian music singer husband Israel Houghton got emotional as they announced on Tuesday on Instagram that they have welcomed a son named Ever James via surrogacy.

The former member of the girl group, The Cheetah Girls, said she was beyond happy as she saw her baby as Ever James was what they had prayed for. They cannot believe they can now touch their baby a few months after the surrogacy. Bailon shared a sweet post alongside a black and white photo. In it, both the couple and their new baby snuggled in the bed together.

The couple is so in love with their baby. Bailon noted that if people knew their love story, they would know how the journey to having a baby had been challenging for them. But she said God is true to His words and promises and gifted them with a wonderful and adorable baby.

"He is worth every tear, every disappointment, every delayed prayer, every IVF cycle, every miscarriage. Everything. All we feel is joy and overwhelming love & gratitude," per ABC News.

Adrienne and Israel delighted to become new parents

The new parents said they were grateful to people who congratulated them, especially those who were with them for more than five years on their journey to becoming parents. The couple was excited as their wish became an answered prayer, and they couldn't be happier to lose sleep in caring for him.

The post was flooded with congratulatory messages, including celebrities like Khloe Kardashian. She congratulated the couple for having the bundle of joy and said Ever James is the luckiest boy as he has them for parents. She also commented that Bailon will be the most awesome and wonderful mommy and reminded the couple to enjoy and cherish every second with their son.

In 2018, Bailon told "The Real Daytime," a former talk show canceled after an eight-season run, that pregnancy is not something that she thought it would be, on her honest talk about starting a family.

She admitted that she thought pregnancy would be easy, but unfortunately, it didn't happen that way. At first, she couldn't contain her emotions as it was discouraging and frustrating, but after some realization, she has come to peace and lifted all her worries and faith in the Lord. The actress believed in God's perfect timing, and her faith became still, per NBC News.

Bailon's first child while Houghton's fifth

The former Cheetah Girls member got engaged to Houghton in 2016 and they got married in December 2019 in Paris. They had an intimate ceremony at the Hotel Plaza Athenee in the presence of 70 guests.

Houghton was previously married to gospel singer Meleasa Houghton in 1994 but got divorced in 2016. The former couple had three children - Maria, Sonny, and Milan. His first son, Jordan, was born out of wedlock.

According to Distractify, the singer proposed to Bailon months after his divorce.
