'Captain America: Civil War' Sequel Announced: Marvel Sends Out Civil War II Teaser With 2016 Date [Details]

Fans are getting anxious to learn the details about the anticipated film "Captain America: Civil War." The hype about the film is getting more intense that even before it is released, there is already a talk about "Civil War II."

Recent reports claim that "Captain America: Civil War" will be the completion of the "Captain America" trilogy. This report was confirmed by Marvel Studio boss and producer Kevin Feige according to ScreenRant.

"It's very much, in a certain way, the completion of a Captain America trilogy. I think one day you'll look back and watch - Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Captain America: Civil War - and it'll be one of the most unique and different trilogies ever around a single character," Feige said.

If "Civil War" is the completion of the "Captain America" trilogy, will it have a sequel? Well, it seems to be the case. Marvel is teasing fans about a potential "Civil War II."

According to ComicBook.com, retailers receive a postcard from Marvel featuring the Iron Man battling Captain America (Sam Wilson) in a style similar to the covers of the original "Civil War" series. On the reverse side of the post card is the Roman numeral "II" printed in red and the date "Spring 2016."

Retailer Ryan Higgins, owner of Comics Conspiracy in Sunnyvale, Calif. shared a photo of the said postcard in a Tweet which he captioned with "Sooo...is this @Marvel announcing Civil War 2?"

Spring 2016 would put the new series near the release date of Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" Although the film appears to depart from its source material it retains the basic premise. It sticks with the ideological-turned-physical battle between Cap and Iron Man, Comic Book Resources reports.

A post on Marvel over a year ago hinted that Falcon will soon be the next Star-Spangled superhero. According to the report Steve Rogers will be robbed by his superior strength and vitality and a new superhero will replace him.

"This fall, Sam Wilson flies where eagles dare, as the intrepid Falcon assumes his new role as Captain America." The report talks about the beginning of "All-New Captain America" by Rick Remender and Stuart Immonen.

In an earlier report from Parent Herald, in the "Civil War" written by Mark Miller, Rogers is gunned down. This opens the discussion as to who between Falcon and The Winter Soldier will replace him. However, the report suggests that in the film, Roger will not die but will be arrested like the other versions in the comics.

"Captain America: Civil War" will hit the big screens on May 6, 2016.
