A Valley family is thankful to be celebrating the birthday of their baby girl a year after the young kid nearly drowned in their family pool in Ahwatukee, according to 12News.
Brandi Stoll decided to partner with the Armer Foundation with the hope of helping other parents during those fearful moments just like the one they experienced the previous summer with baby Alizah.
Stoll said that the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) needs toiletries. She added that when parents are in that traumatic incident, they don't think to get the essentials they need, such as shampoo and soaps.

According to Stoll, the five days they spent in the pediatric ICU helped her realize how difficult it is for parents to have everything they need for an unpredictable stay in the hospital during an emergency.
Jennifer Armer, a close friend of the Stolls, is finding ways to ease stress for parents who found themselves caught in those terrifying circumstances like a near drowning.
The Founder of the Armer Foundation said they think of everything a mom or dad would need in an emergency. She pointed out that sometimes in an emergency, the parents don't even have shoes when they go to the hospital, so the foundation provides shoes and flip-flops to them. They also do their toiletry drive for the parents in need.
The Armer Foundation toiletry drive is known as the "Alizah Project." Its main goal is to help those who are dealing with heartbreak, the parents who are hoping for miracles, in some of the worst moments of their lives.

Stoll's actions help baby daughter survive drowning
Meanwhile, Guadalupe firefighters who responded on July 31, 2021, to 911 calls got to catch up with the toddler, who is doing better than ever. Rashid Alkhori, one of the heroes that day, said that it is cool to have that bond now and see them all doing well. He added that they are all close with them now and are thrilled to see baby Alizah be a kid again.
According to Santan Sun News, Alizah Rose slid unnoticed beneath the surface of the family pool on that fateful day. Non-fatal drowning victims can become spastic quadriplegics in need of care around the clock if their brains are seriously damaged due to lack of oxygen.
Fortunately, that scenario did not happen to Alizah. It was still a nightmare for Stoll, who saw her lifeless baby floating by the pool stairs. She rushed over, pulled her baby out by her tiny little swim diaper, and instantly started giving her child CPR. She said that she does not know what happened in between that time other than she was continuing chest compressions and screaming to people in the area to call 911.
