For those who want more of "Dota 2", Valve has already released their Fall Season 2015 Compendium. The promising packages offer more gameplay and rewards.
As the LazyGamer puts it, the person behind the idea of adding a Compendium in "Dota 2" deserves a pat in the back and a punch in the face at the same time. Compendium can enhance the overall game experience of the players, but it could be costly.
According to Cinema Blend, the free-to-play game's fall season is already in progress and the Compendium is a way to entice gamers to spend in their cash shops and engaged in the community aspects of the competitive atmosphere that encompass the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA).
In "Dota 2's" official website they offered two options for their compendium. Option One offers a Level 1 Compendium at a much lower price of $3.99. It offers gamers access to Compendium challenges, coin wagers, level, coin rewards and more.
Option Two offers a Level 25 Compendium. It comes with a tribute of the Piercing Beak treasure, coin charm, emoticon, exclusive courier, 2x challenge coin rate, town portal scroll effect and 25 compendium levels. All of these features is up for grab at $9.99.
The compendium is more on cosmetic upgrades for the characters and weaponry. For instance, the Tribute of the Piercing Beak treasure will unlock the ability to earn a weapon that the player can upgrade with permanent special ambient effect. The upgrade can be done with the use of the Tribute Upgrade Infuser, CinemaBlend has learned.
Once the Fall Season Compendium is activated the gamer can take part in challenges. The player has the option to choose the challenge he wants to take. He has to complete and win the match to earn a bounty of coins.
Players can also wage their coins on the outcome of their match. Those members who belong to victorious team will receive a percentage of the Coin Pool depending on the amount of the maximum wager.
Gamers can also redeem coins inside the Compendium for items, sets or treasure. The treasure contains exclusive new items that come in three tiers of rarity. When in the Armory, one can use lower tier items to craft a higher tier reward.
Redemption can be done until Jan. 15, 2016. The sets and items earned from treasures are in-game items that cannot be transferred. They do not have monetary value and cannot be cashed out.
