Shia LaBeouf made a sad revelation, saying that his mom, Shayna Saide, died on August 27 at the age of 80.
The Hollywood actor, who was by his mother's side when she passed, said that she suffered heart failure. He talked about the anguish his mom felt during her last days at a Los Angeles hospital.
The 36-year-old "Transformers" star, recalled in an email interview with The Hollywood Reporter that his mother was full of fear in her last moments. He said his mom was frantic in her final days. She asked the doctor what this tube was and what that machine did.
LaBeouf thankful to mom for introducing him to God
He said his mom was deeply interested in God and spirituality her whole life, but she did not know him, hence her last moments.
LaBeouf is the product of an interfaith marriage and was raised both Jewish and Christian, according to Page Six. He credited his mom for stressing a relationship with God. He said that her greatest gift to him was to promote, in her dying, the necessity of a relationship with God.
He said that his mother stressed to him to have an interest and not just a belief in God. She wanted him to have a relationship built on proof as tangible as a hug. He shared that her last gift to him was the ultimate persuasion for faith.
The controversial actor has embraced Catholicism ever since he starred in Abel Ferarra's film "Padre Pio." He plays the titular character in the movie, a Franciscan Capuchin monk who became famous in the country of Italy after allegedly experiencing stigmata.
LaBeouf went on to describe his mom as a good girl in the interview, adding that she was loved by many and known by too few. He then delivered a heartfelt message to his mother, saying "God bless you, Momma."

LaBeouf embroiled in several controversies
The "Fury" actor is on a redemption tour after being accused by singer and ex-girlfriend, FKA Twigs, of sexual assault. He is now embroiled in a case that could soon see the two of them go head to head in court.
LaBeouf has also defended himself against director Olivia Wilde after the Hollywood star claimed that she fired the actor from her movie, "Don't Worry Darling." He then leaked a video in which Wilde seemingly begs LaBeouf to stay on the movie and hints at a disagreement between him and his co-star, Florence Pugh.
When LaBeouf was asked about his feud with Wilde, he graciously replied that it is what it is and every blessing to her and her film. She doubled down on her account of the incident in an interview with Vanity Fair, saying that this issue is so much more nuanced than can be explained in private texts that were released out of context.
