A Fairfax County, Virginia, teenager wrote a heartbreaking apology letter to his mother on GoFundMe after he wrecked her vehicle in an accident, leaving her desperate for help.

Jordan Jennings made a plea to anyone who would read his letter that he needed help to get his mom, Kimberly Marshall, a new car after he totaled it in an accident.

Jennings told his mom in the letter that he loves her and is so sorry for totaling her car. He added that he sees her every day, trying her best to ensure he and his little sister are taken care of, and she does it all herself.

When the accident occurred in September, Jennings was driving home after cleaning the vehicle. He said that when he saw the damage to the car, he was heartbroken.

Losing her car has been tough for Marshall, who works at an animal hospital in Fairfax County. She said that it takes her 30 minutes to drive to and from work each day, a thing she can't do anymore with her car gone. Problems are mounting for Marshall as the metro line in Alexandria is also shut down because of ongoing work on the Blue and Yellow lines.

Marshall said she has been getting blessings, but unfortunately, they are running dry now. As a single mom, Jennings noted that Marshall carries the brunt of everything in their household, so he knows she can't afford a new car. He added that she has been trying her hardest since he can remember.

7News sat down with the family in an emotional interview to talk about their plight. Marshall said while crying that she did not want much. She just wants to be able to take care of her kids, and she needs to have a job to do that.

Jennings said they have no one to call for help. Marshall explained that a car could be replaceable, but her son can't be replaced. She said that once she realized he was OK, she was sad and disappointed as it seemed like it was always something with them.

Jennings wrote on the GoFundMe that his mom just recently found a job that she loves, but without a car, she was in danger of losing it. He then pleaded with people to help his mom get a new or used car. He said the worst feeling ever was seeing his mom cry and feeling like he disappointed her and let her down.

He added that her mom never asked for anything and that she was always willing to give. He finished his message by saying sorry again to his mother.
