The mom of one of the victims of the "Green Gobling Gang got furious and called the fiends animals after randomly attacking her daughter on her birthday, New York Post reported. A newly released video clip captured the group of female robbers wearing full-body neon green leotards as they harassed, punched, and tossed two 19-year-old women on a Times Square subway train around 2 a.m. Sunday.
According to the authorities, the two women were robbed of a cell phone and handbag. The mother of one of the victims, who was not named, told the news outlet that her daughter told her that she was attacked by aliens, which she didn't understand at first. The distraught mom said it was her daughter's birthday. The mother and the two victims remained anonymous out of fear of retaliation.
The raging mom expressed her anger stating that it is how her daughter spent her 19th birthday and hopes that they get what they deserve as what they did was disgusting. The video was posted on social media and went viral. It showed six females dressed in green tossing around one of the victims and punching the other repeatedly in the face. Some attackers wore hoods with face masks.
A traumatic experience for the two women
The mom told the outlet that her daughter and a friend were on their way home when the incident happened. The two were waiting to get on the train when suddenly, grown women came down the stairs while being loud. They went to get on the train, and one of them bumped into her daughter and her friend.
At first, they didn't bother as it was already late, but six women suddenly attacked her daughter. The video showed a woman with red curly hair trying to help the teen and a man who took his sweatshirt off to assist the two girls. Her daughter had five women on her at once, and both young ladies were punched in the face.
What made the mom even more raged was that other passengers just stood by watching and recording the attack. The video showed men sitting while taking videos. She noted that none of them helped the two victims while they were getting beaten by ten women.
However, Christopher Herrmann, a former crime statistics analyst for the New York police department who now teaches at John Jay College of Criminal women Justice, told The Guardian that New York subways are statistically safe and the chances of being a victim have remained one in a million.
