Central Texas mother of three warned parents of the danger the movie "Hocus Pocus 2" could bring to their children, families, and homes.
Jamie Gooch of Troy is telling parents not to let their children watch "Hocus Pocus 2," Disney+'s long-awaited sequel to the favorite Halloween movie in 1993. She claimed that it is dangerous exposing children to fictional witches, cults, and the "darkness," New York Post reported.
"Do not watch this film," Gooch warned, "A worst case scenario is: you unleash hell on your kids and in your home."
She further emphasized that people may think that what the movie implies is "fake and innocent," but families may not know that evil spells may have been cast and things could be coming through in their home's televisions.
Spiritual warfare against American families
Gooch is a Christian who firmly believes that a spiritual war is being carried out against American families and their homes.
She calls on fellow mothers to be "gatekeepers of the home" and monitor what their children consume, reminding them that everything starts at home. Thus, they need to "beware and be aware" of the things being brought into their homes and daily lives.
This mom believes that it goes further than the movie or Halloween. Parents should be consistently and firmly cautious of what the children are consuming, what the family is bringing in, and what they send out.
Based on her experience, there are things she has watched and heard on television that have manifested in real life. She believes that things are attached to whatever is on the TV screen.
Even just one person
Gooch created a warning post for parents on social media that went viral and garnered different reactions and comments. The said post had already been made private, and she instead discussed her concerns and opinions about the movie with the local news station KWTX.
Some have labeled her crazy, and others worse than that, but she said that she does not regret doing the post, especially since most of the feedback was positive.
She does not have plans of "transforming Hollywood" and creating a huge impact; she just wants to make a difference even in one person's life. If her post gets to open one person's mind and heart and save a family, then it was worth putting it out there.
Her goal is to get parents to be proactive in reevaluating their family choices rather than reactive. Gooch hopes that people will "walk away with discernment."
She respects those who negated her and welcomed their opinions because she wants to hear where they are coming from. However, she insisted that their opinions would not change her convictions and what she chooses to do with her family.
KWTX has tried reaching out to Disney's movie publicist but did not receive any statement yet as of writing.
