One mother in Denver, Colorado, encountered a sweet coincidence at the hospital after she welcomed her newborn daughters this month. Lauren Meehan, a newly minted mom of three, was surprised when she told hospital staff at the Rose Medical Center the names she had chosen for her twin girls.

Meehan said in a statement shared by the Rose Medical Center with TODAY that she had welcomed her first kid at the location a couple of years earlier. According to Meehan, they had another surprise when they discovered they had twin girls. She sought care at the Rose Medical Center just as during her first pregnancy.

The mother told TODAY through the hospital that her twins decided to make an early and quick arrival earlier this month in the middle of the night. Meehan explained that the birth occurred in an operating room because she had twin babies.

Meehan needed two teams of doctors and nurses

She added that two teams of doctors and nurses were needed for the procedure because of the high risk of delivering twin babies. Meehan said that while she knew why everyone had to move quickly, she always had a nurse by her side explaining everything and holding her hand.

She added that all the nurses who tended to her took turns to be with her as they knew what an overwhelming experience she was going through. To keep the conversation going with Meehan, the team asked her if she had any names in mind for her twin daughters, according to 9 News.

Meehan told them they loved the names Emma and Julia, and all broke out in laughter as the two nurses taking care of her babies were named Emma and Julia.

Meehan says the coincidence will be a funny story to tell their girls

She noted that at that moment, in all the chaos, they were able to stop for a second and enjoy that moment knowing that those names were meant to be for her twins. After the laughter, Meehan's second and third kids, Emma and Julia, entered the world. She told Fox 8 that she is so lucky to now be able to say she has three Rose Babies.

Meehan concluded her statement with a touching sentiment about the two nurses, one of whom even posed with the infant named after her to commemorate the fun coincidence. Meehan said those two nurses will always be special to them, and the entire team that took care of them that day will hold a special place in their hearts. She added that it would be a funny story to tell their girls.
