Court documents have finally revealed what happened before Michelle Roenz and her 17-year-old son Tyler Roenz were reported missing from a Humble neighborhood on Thursday, October 13, KHOU reported.
According to court documents, Michelle's husband, who is also Tyler's father, came home at about noon on Thursday and not only found his son's vehicle missing but also found a bloody, disturbing scene inside their house.
Manfred Roenz, the victim's husband, walked into his home's garage and discovered a human tooth and blood all over. He then saw a trail of blood from the garage to the master bedroom. He found at least four more teeth on the carpet in the room. Manfred knew something bad had happened as he found even more blood there.
Manfred tracked wife and son using an app
Manfred told investigators that he found his wife's purse and phone in the master bedroom, where she had never left those items. Manfred said he called out to his son and wife to see if both of them were inside the residence, but no one answered his call. That was when he decided to call 911, according to KSNB.
Manfred told investigators that he managed to track his wife and his son using an app. According to court records, the app showed that his wife Michelle arrived home on Thursday at about 10:15 a.m. Manfred said that, based on the app, his son was also home at that time. However, the tracking information from his son's phone was deleted, and his phone was suddenly turned off after 10:15 a.m.
Court records said that when a police officer arrived at the scene, they walked around the home, and just like Manfred described, blood and human teeth were found. According to documents, the officer also found other signs of foul play inside the home of Roenz.

Tyler Roenz found in crashed car in Nebraska with dead mom in the trunk
An officer then looked at surveillance video from earlier in the day that showed the front of Roenz's home and saw Manfred's missing black Mazda vehicle parked in the driveway. Court records said that the video then showed Michelle pulling into the garage of their home at about 10:15 a.m. with the mother leaving the door open.
It was not until nearly an hour later that someone closed the garage door, according to ABC 13. Court records revealed that the Mazda was then seen minutes after leaving the home's driveway. Manfred and the responding officer contacted the credit card company Discover to help in the search. They wanted to find out if any transactions were recently made with the card since Manfred and his wife Michelle held an account together.
Discover told Manfred that the card was used at three gas stations in a six-hour span. Tyler and his father's missing vehicle were found in Nebraska the day after they were reported missing. Michelle's body was then found in the trunk of the car.
