Will Smith's ex-wife, Sheree Zampino, reflected on an emotional conversation she previously had with her only child, Trey, whom she shares with "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" actor. In this week's episode of "Red Table Talk," centered on the discussion of toxic forgiveness, Zampino sat down with Smith's now-wife, Jada Pinket Smith, Adrienne Banfield Norris, and Jana Kramer were the "Our Journey" actress revealed that her 29-year-old son didn't feel loved by her growing up.
She added that one of the things her son had told her when he started working on forgiveness was the feeling of not being loved. The 54-year-old actress immediately explained that his father loved him very much, but Trey quickly clarified that he was not referring to his dad but his mom. The businesswoman asked her son why he didn't feel loved by his mom, and the two had a very emotional conversation.
Revealing that growing up, he didn't feel loved by his mom as he felt his mom didn't care about what he might feel, and that's what it boiled down to. Trey noted that when he would fall way back when he was still a kid, he'd be disappointed as she preferred to be with her friends despite what was happening to him.

The mom soon understands her son's feelings
The "When the Time Comes" actress soon understood her son's feelings, and they continued their discussion, which helped her to analyze things better. She agreed with her son and admitted that she didn't care about her son's feelings as she also didn't care about her own feelings. She completely neglected her own emotions too.
Sheree Zampino continued that she always rushed herself as she felt she needed to be stoic and tough to get through life. She added not caring about her son's feelings even for a bit made her feel sorrowful as she appeared to be on autopilot.
Trey is the first child of Will Smith and the only child of the "Men in Black" actor and "Games People Play" actress. The two divorced in 1995 and later developed an amicable co-parenting relationship.
In 1997, the "Set It Off" actress-singer Pinkett Smith got married to the "Aladdin" actor and welcomed their first child together, a son, Jaden. Two years later, they happily welcomed another child, a daughter, Willow, in October 2000.

Jada admits she crossed the line
Pinkett Smith admitted to Zampino that she crossed the line as she was in the picture too soon. They both reflected on the hardships they went through way back then and acknowledged that raising a blended family had been very hard for them. However, they are happy and thankful for establishing a great sisterhood.
The "Scream 2" actress told her husband's former wife that it took some forgiveness on her part as, from what she can remember, almost everything had been hard for her. Jada and Will got together before the divorce between the latter and Zampino was finalized, per Herald Sun.
