A naughty boy from the United Kingdom is going viral after he tricked his father into getting him a puppy by masquerading as his mom on WhatsApp. To succeed in his ploy, he even called his dad "hun" to make him think he was talking to his wife, the New York Post reported.

Pictures detailing his hilarious impersonation of his mom are currently blowing up on the internet, with fans praising the boy's ingenuity. Noah Ley said he wanted a dog, so he went on his mom's phone and wrote, "hi, hun." The nine-year-old said that it is a phrase his mom uses.

The dupe happened while Noah's dad Kevyn Ley and mom, Janine, were thinking of getting another dog as a companion for their cocker spaniel named Jet. Opportunity knocked after the steel worker's friend, a dog breeder, informed him that an 8-month-old puppy was available for adoption.

Janine reluctant to take another dog

However, while 43-year-old Kevyn was over the moon about adding another pet to the family, 40-year-old Janine seemed more reluctant about taking on another dog.

The dental nurse said that he took her aback when he said that they had been offered a puppy. She told him, "What? Are you kidding me?" as they only talked about it. Kevyn said she was ready now if they wanted her. The hesitant mom of three was still non-committal, saying she needed to think about it.

However, the couple's destiny was sealed when Janine told the children that their dad was contemplating buying another puppy. That announcement set the wheels turning in their kid Noah's mind.

Janine wrote a message to Kevyn, telling him that Noah wanted another dog. Kev then asked her what the kids thought about it. Noah, who was used to playing games on his mother's phone, saw an opportunity after Janine left the phone in the room to clean the house, according to the Daily Mail.

Janine said that Noah grabbed the phone and continued the conversation without her knowledge. She did not realize until several hours later that he had gotten hold of her phone and they were getting a new dog.

Noah convinces dad with a 'text performance' worthy of an Oscar

Photos showed the conversation between Kevyn and Noah, who pretended to be his mom. He wrote that they were screaming their heads off and wanted a dog. Noah wrote, "Kev, just get one; the kids are crying."

Noah's Oscar-worthy text performance did the trick as his father replied that they would trial run it and the dog would be coming today. Noah did not let up, asking his clueless father, "What time, hun? What time is the dog coming?"

The parents were impressed at Noah's ploy, with Kevyn saying that he was convinced it was Janine. He said he got the messages and thought nothing more of it. He added that even the spelling was OK, apart from one word he noticed when he read back, The Sun reported.
