A mom and her four kids were run over as her children were getting off a school bus by a driver allegedly trying to escape the cops.
The tragic incident happened in the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York City just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon when cops tried to stop a white Mercedes-Benz traveling along Flatbush Avenue.
According to ABC News' New York City TV station WABC, the female driver decided to take off on Avenue J instead of stopping her car and went straight through several bus stops before hitting the family with her vehicle.

Cops investigating the accident found the vehicle involved in the crash a short distance away at E 24th St and Glenwood Road. Police sources said the female driver abandoned her car there and walked away. She left behind a Mercedes emblem that broke off the vehicle on Avenue J.
JoJo Johnson told CBS2 that she saw the car hit a woman and a child in a stroller. He added that the driver continued driving off and hit the children. Johnson said that two other children were getting off the bus.
